Would you buy the luggage set with the car. Should I go for it or a waste of money. Can I get them later. This is for my new 612. Thanks

One more thing. Should I get the seats piping or is it a bad idea.

If you are really buying a 612 you obviously don't care about losing money so why the hell not? :)

Why did you not put 'REALLY' in caps?

I have more respect for 612 owners then any other modern non-supercar Ferrari, because they buy the car because they like it...end of story. With that being said I would get the luggage and get whatever you want regardless of how crazy it is. If you are taking the hit a 612 does you should enjoy who cares what we like or anyone else but you for that matter.

I think the luggage set makes the car more complete, in some way - And then it's much cooler to show up with a Ferrari luggage set!

Get them both. Why not? And the Daytona seats and a quilted roof. And especially the Sport Package (forgotten what it is called) that gives you the louder mufflers, carbon brakes, really nice wheels, and special trim. It is a wonderful car.

    Welcome!

I'd say "yes" on the luggage as it is tailored to the storage areas of the car, and very well made....I enjoy using mine.

The colored piping and even the contrasting stitching is a personal taste and frankly seems a lil' 'over the top' in a car like this....I also think it'd be hard to maintain, over time. There was a dual tone interior posted in Europe, that was very striking!!

I keep my cars forever! Best of luck and post a picture when it arrives

    Luggage yes. without a doubt.

Wasn't aware you could order piping on a 612... but regardless, I prefer daytona seats, colored inserts are my pref. no piping. but it's a personal choice....

If you plan on taking road trips in the car, then definitely get luggage.

    Piping is a nice touch.

Piping addds a very nice touch.

I'd suggest you look at your chosen color scheme on other Ferrari's with piping to see if it's a good fit foy you.

That might help you with your decision.

What are your chosen color schemes?

Can't help you with the luggage concept however.

I would probably pass on the luggage. I've thought about getting it for the F-Cars I have now, and in the end I decided that it would be one more thing sitting around in a closet or the garage.

I can't see really using the luggage other than when taking a trip in the car, and for most of my trips I already have the basics in a roller bag, so it becomes a hassle to move everything over, etc.

I've thought about getting a 612 myself. If I buy a new Ferrari in the reasonable future, that's the car I'd like to get, depreciation or not. And I'd definitely like to buy a new Ferrari at some point in my life!

Buy what you like. The piping I think is a classy touch.

Definately purchase the luggage. This is a Gran Tourer designed to be taken on trips. The luggage is designed to maximize luggage space so get it. Waste of money? By purchasing a 612 new as soon as you take it off the lot you will loose about $25,000 or so.

I personally don't like piping (just not my type of thing - I find it a bit old fashioned for a bradn new Ferrari).

Get the luggage though - come resale time, there are always more cars than luggage sets - there's probably a better used market for the luggage than there is the car.

I love the smell and the looks of Ferrari luggage but let's face, when will you ever really use it?

As for piping, it is a matter for personal taste. Some look good and some look not so good.

That's a good point.... but it does complement the car very well and adds to the value.

I ordered my Maranello with piping that matches the light brown carpet. It is subtle but very pleasing to those who have seen it.

I like piping but I have yet to order it. I think more Europeans order it than in the US. I would get the piping but unless you will be making a few trips not the luggage. The luggage is very nice so if I wanted it, I would get it.

Is Schedoni still making the luggage?
I've noticed a few things like the owner's manual pouches are no longer made by Schedoni on modern cars.

Piping makes the seats look finished. Indeed, it distinguishes your Ferrari from any other make of car as piping is not an option. Enjoy using the luggage!!! K

I purchased the full luggage set for my F430. Its well made (superbly made), adds a real additional touch to the car, uses the space well. I've certainly not regretted my decision.

Yes I would get the piping it depends on the car but for a coupe like the 612 yes. I would only get the luggage if you plan to travel with the car and or because you want it (doesn't seem very common and it looks very nice) enjoy!
