How much would you be willing to pay for an OEM Ferrari Flashlight?

  1. $500+

  2. $300 - $499

  3. $200 - $300

  4. Don't care about the "Ferrari" flashlight

I know...that inflation hits hard! This is apparently a hot ticket item when every time you open up the glove box and see something missing, your car is "incomplete" :(

Seller said the car came with OEM flashlight and tender...turns out they gave me an aftermarket tender, and after weeks of searching "could not locate the flashlight" o_O

Bought a new genuine tender already, still on the hunt for that light! Haha

Been on the hunt for about 3 weeks now and a decent-to-good condition one is around $400 lowest priced. Of course they have "mint condition" ones for $750-ish but that is just too over the top for me.

Willing to bet that you can get a flashlight that's 10x brighter for a tenth of that price.

Totally irrelevant part, too many 360/430s made for it to make a difference in price if you ever sell it...

I paid $300 for a mint, working light about 3 years ago as that was the only item I was missing for my car. It does matter if you ever do a Concourse. I like having it, but it does sit wrapped in microfiber, batteries removed, in a safe spot in my house. I think these will become harder to find in working condition in the future, which means they’re unlikely to ever go down in price.

Agreed and doing any Concourse event it would be needed.
At $1k that's roughly 1% of the cost of the car, so $300-500 is a bargain.

I was in your position 5 years ago when I purchased my F430..I was outraged at the blackmarket prices and refused to buy one that could have been mine to begin with...check your tool kit and make sure first its there and complete that's another hot spot for price gouging..
I was extremely fortunate to see one displayed at my local Ferrari dealer and asked if it was for sale..I purchased it for $125.00.
    Good Luck with your search..

There’s one on EBay right now for the starting bid of $200 with 2 days left. There’s zero bids so far. The listing says it’s new but doesn’t show it illuminated.

There’s others for $700 and $900, but that’s just ridiculous.

IIRC the part number is 180720, and they might still be able to be special ordered

You don't have an option for under $200. I'd be willing to pay up to $200.

I made my own and I would be willing to show it to anyone and see if they could tell it is a "modified" version or an OEM one.

Cost me about 3 hours of my time and $30

Looks nice! Did you bead blast it or sand it? Is the logo painted, etched, or decal?

    Thanks.

    Here is my original post:

"My '03 came with the flashlight. Of course, NG and realized I could not open it up without destroying it as you guys have pointed out the batteries will weld the end cap to the body. Now I can afford the money to buy one but I just had to say to myself, I bet I could make a pretty good recreation.

The end with the lens and the text imprinted on it was still good and I was able to get that off of the OEM flashlight. I went to Ace Hardware and got a silver Mag-light for $12.95. The only problem was the new ones have the knurling on them. The OEM doesn't. So I put it in my lathe and removed the knurling to make it smooth and finished it by hand. I bought the Ferrari logo on e-bay as a vinyl stick on but I couldn't get the right size and I wanted to have the "Ferrari" painted on as was the OEM one. So I went to the local sign shop and had them reduce and create a vinyl logo stencil. I used it on the body of the flash light and with an airbrush applied black automotive basecoat to do the Logo.

Now this sounds like it took a good amount of effort, but it really didn't. I probably have less than $30 in it and an hour and a half of my time. Sometimes for me it's the challenge not the amount of money. And it feels good to have the results I got-- and it actually is a working flashlight to boot!"

Once it was finished, I did spray it in a silver base coat paint to match the finish on the reused OEM lens end that screws onto the body. Of course I did that before I did the final mask and spray of the Ferrari (black base coat) logo on the body of the flashlight.

Funny you mentioned that because since that mention, I have bid and was winning until the last hour...

1 person beat my bid in the last hour...I became the higher bidder again and felt okay this is an easy win, and didn't think about it.

Then out of the blue someone else bid higher in the last 55 seconds and that was that.

Are you kidding me! Sold for $207 :mad:

    Hey TommyTheV,
I have an original that I tried to unfreeze the cap and rebuild. I had to replace the cap, drilled the old batteries out, tapped the threads and replaced the internal parts. Well, it actually works, but as you can see, it still needs a little TLC. If you’re willing to spend a little time to find the right color to paint the cap and touch up the body, it’ll look great whenever you open your glove box !!! It would also give you more time to look for a real nice one.
You certainly helped us all out with the tail light purchase, so you deserve some help in return. If you PM me your address, I’ll send it to you, no charge, ASAP.
Ferrari people helping Ferrari people !!!!!!!!!!
    TTYS,
    Dominic
