I have a 458 and F12. I just put a deposit down on an EVO RWD. Dealer says we are about 16 months out. If you were me would you trade or sell the F12? I love the car and am glad I bought it and experienced it but I think I am just a rear mid-engine type of a guy.

Also, the prices for everything used these days is high so I think I could do well on the F12 by selling it and roll that money into a new EVO. That is one of the main drivers really.

I could keep them all and add the EVO but that may not work on the domestic front so let's take that option off the table.

Well, if three is doable but the concept of two keeps you alive to enjoy them - I'd consider rolling the 458 into the Evo when that arrives and seeing if you can pre-trade the F12 for an 812 GTS.

No…do not see the F12 unless you are getting a GTS…it’s that simple

Funny but I am somewhat in the opposite position. I have a 458 and a Huracan Spyder LP580-2. I'm thinking about trading the Huracan for an F12. I have had the Huracan since January... but it just isn't doing it for me. While it has all the looks and noise anyone could want, it feels like it is missing something. Something that makes it feel special to drive like the 458.

As good as the Huracan is, the F12 is just a more special car all around. You already have a 458, so you have the best two modern production line Ferrari’s IMO, keep what you have.

I have an Evo RWD and a Lusso.
I bought the Lambo after doing many miles in the Lusso and remembering, like you, that a small mid-engined car offers something that a big V12 doesn't.
I totally understand that an F12 is more dynamic than a Lusso, but it's still a similar size and a very similar engine location! (I've driven friend's 812GTS and know it's sharper than the Lusso, but not as sharp as the RWD)

Huracan engine and size do mean that it is more responsive and easier to thread along UK roads. (But even if you ignore the speed limits, the road limits still mean you can't use it to max).
I've previously owned a Gallardo Superleggera (Mk1) and tried the original Huracan as a replacement, but found it very dull by comparison. The Evo RWD is a much more exciting car to drive, though it does still do cruising in comfort if required.

Having said that, I will sell the Huracan at some point, but plan to keep the Lusso. A Ferrari V12 is another level of quality, and the Lambo is more of a toy. (I had a 488GTB and it felt similarly deficient on the quality scale to Lusso).
If I were you, I would keep the V12 and trade the 458, but maybe you want to go all-in on the mid engine experience. TBH, it would be tempting to keep them all! Last of their kinds.

Thanks for the comments. I did drive the 610-4 and thought it was missing something but I thought that may be due to the awd. I also read about the changes of the evo and thought the rwd version may be worth getting. I get the “specialness” argument as I really see that in the 458.

It would probably make more sense to keep one front GT and one mid-engined car. But if you're not a fan of the F12, then I think it would be doable to have two mid engines -but only if you order the EVO RWD Spyder. This way you have a reason to take one car out over the other.

If it's nice weather take the EVO RWD Spyder, if it's too hot/cold/etc take the 458 coupe.

lambos are germans in italian suits.

i've had gallardo spyder and huracan spyder. both all wheel drive. fun cars, low to the ground, go kart feeling. fairly reliable since it's all audi guts.

enjoy them but i wouldn't think they're a collectible car.

Yes agreed on this. I took it to the track again yesterday and again it blew me away. I get so many compliments on it and it seems the 458 is the standard everyone compares their car to. This tells you something...

In parsing your post I am seeing you are a mid engine guy and money is important. You also probably like getting the latest. Betting you will sell the F12 due to its high resell value as an apparent solution. You don't really need another opinion if you think about it. However, in my opinion, the F12 is a much more special car than any other car you own or are looking to buy in your post. Good luck.
