    they use to drive them on the roads by the Meadowlands until locals screamed about the traffic & noise. I hear there's some pressure underfoot to bring them back to the Meadowlands.

    That would be amazing.

    I also heard a rumour that someone on LI spent $800,000 developing an on-road race track for a Long Island Grans Prix that he's been pitching to CART/IRL/F1. The course would be in Uniondale, run around the colisseum, down Hempstead Turnpike and through the Stewart Avenue area. He was supposed to send me an overview of the track, but he never did.
