I wouldn't do this...nor would I recommend it. How To Slam A Ferrari - Speedhunters Not my thing. Mike
Please don't remind us... again. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355-sponsored-bradan/542480-slammed-348-a.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355-sponsored-bradan/533700-slammed-ferrari-348-a.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355-sponsored-bradan/526841-oh-not-what-have-they-done-my-ferrari-ma.html But hey, it's their car to do what they want... without my approval of course.
I want to say, "Its his $$ so let him do what he wishes with it." But then again, you could be a certified idiot while spending your own $$ also.
I've seen this a few times already on the forum, but I still can't get used to it. There is a Testarossa as well : What Makes a Car "Cool?" - Kazuki Ohashi's 1989 Ferrari Testarossa
If done properly (i.e. a correct lowering, without stupid camber), the 348 might have looked nice. Now it's ruined - just like all of the 'stance' idiots do to all of their cars. The Testarossa is the same story - great fitment, great wheels - lousy execution. Any street car with more than 3-4 degrees of negative camber should be banned from being driven on the street. Ocean City, NJ (home of H2O Fest, a big VW goon meet) has done just that - impounding the 'stanced' cars on sight. It's simply not safe to drive a car with that much camber - it stresses every single moving part in the suspension, ruins your tires, and exaggerates every steering input to the point of being nearly un-driveable. Even the author of the 348 article noted how awful the car's ride was. I am all about being creative and customizing one's ride - but these cars being displayed anywhere but a car show or a garage should be outlawed.
I love watching these guys hitting speed bumps as mentioned........... And getting in and out of parking lots with slopes. Where I live with the potholes, body parts would be flying in short order I am waiting for the 3' lift kit and 44" mudders for off road use.
I like customs but custom work that destroys the performance capabilities are just stupid and really don't require a brain. It goes against the entire genisis of the hotrodder culture.
