Ok after a long winter I was able to take the F car out for a 30 mile round trip. About 5 mins from home I noticed a weird noise from the rear drivers side area. Thinking it was a bad bearing I lifted the car to confirm before ordering the parts.

The tire was held on by a few threads of the wheel stud..... I don't remember taking off that tire over the winter but I guess I did and never tightened the stud. So learn from me that you should check your wheel studs and retorque your wheels...

Luckly no damage, studs are ok, threads are ok and no rounding of the wheel stud hole.

    Chris:

I'm glad the Ferrari Gods were with you in this situation. Thanks for the reminder. I try to check my wheels pressure every 4-6 weeks and tire pressure before a drive, if I'm actually doing any driving (which for me, is a rare event :( ).

Chris, I am very happy to hear that you are safe and sound and that no damage was done.

Funny you should bring this up, because the first thing I was going to do after pulling mine out after the winter is check the torque on the wheel studs.
