Think of everyday people and how consciously and subsonciously scared they are of death and mortality... Then imagine someone on the opposite end of the spectrum who lusts only for death... Someone so in pain that, despite the fear of mortality and death, they purposely take their own life... Suicide HAS to be tough; i know it seems selfish to some, but it's also got to be one of the hardest things to do... i guess when you're in that much pain, it's not that hard at all... Who knows...

    It's funny.

Here's a person who was probably not getting as much attention as she would've liked so she decides that her suicide will be performed in public where someone has to notice- the ironic thing is that no one did, even after she was dead. I would've left her up till Nov.

Thru this playing out as it has, she's been immortalized in print & in so doing, death & since death is part of life, she has become immortal through her own mortality.

I think she knew what she was doing.

Yeah. No one gave a **** about her in real life, and she sought to verify that in death.

If she knew what she was doing, she would have become a talk-show hostess or a weather girl.

With all the decorations up, are they surprised? Everyday on the way to work I go past a guy buried head down up to his waist. I've never stopped, so, I'm not 100% sure it's not real...

On another note, that street just became infinitely more bad ass to trick or treat on. If I was still a young and stupid teenager, I would so be making a fake person right now to hang from that tree on cabbage night.

SO Carbon - what about those people who should be strong enough to fight whatever is afflicting them and take suicide as the cheap means of escape? How many suicides are "unbearable and insurmountable pain" versus some form of self-inflicted pain that they *could* work their way through? What happened to mind and mettle?

I disagree, I think it is selfless. More resources and oxygen for the rest of us, if I could get 80% of the people on the roads to kill themselves I could cut my commute time to a 1/3. :)

So, do we assume that she deliberately chose that method, at this time of year, knowing it was likely people might think she was a decoration? That's almost as sick as the suicide itself. BTW, this stuff causes unending grief to those who are left behind. It is not just self-destructive, but an act of hostility to others....
