The photos look good but without seeing it in person it is hard to tell. My previous reads on wrapped white Ferraris is that satin does better than a flat matte -- just a little shininess.

    Thanks!

It is a bit difficult. It's so clean that every spec shows. I have to use a magic eraser over small spots/bugs. And keep microfiber on hand to dust the rear. It never sees rain so I cannot comment on that.

Thanks, it does look amazing in person too. I had it out at an exotic car meet and it was a hit. But you're right about the satin. I actually had the satin finish picked, but the installer recommended against it saying the film doesn't stick as well, and he would have to reapply sections down the road.

Looks good. The best part is that you are protecting the original paint and don't have to worry about scratches from people at swap meets and car shows!

Last week I saw an interesting wrap. It was on a dark metallic grey Audi S4. The wrap was a clear wrap with a satin finish. It was pretty cool because it looked like those satin paint jobs because the real paint showed through, so it didn't look like a wrap at all.

very nice. That is a lot of wrap effort given all the Spider moving pieces.

the only concern with wraps are if any body panels were repinted at one time when wraps come off paint can come off too,ive seen it happen

i would also be curious about the rough cost. I would only do this because I am bored with my car's color, so the price has to be right.
Is it few hundred U$ or a few thousand?

i am thinking a used motorcycle would be more fun for that amount of dosh, but this is all subjective/relative.....

Car looks amazing, white looks so awesome on F430, if I get one I have it wrapped in white as well.

I recommend chadwick's triple play for detailing matte finishes or any finishes. I used to use chemical guys meticulous matte detailer. It works well, but doesn't seem like it adds protection.

I ordered swissvax opaque wax designed for matte finishes. But after seeing the results of chadwicks triple play on my satin black Gallardo, I am not sure if it even need swissvax opaque. Triple play is so good.

I have seen a couple of BMWs with this also. The film is kind of frosted to impart a satin finish. I thought it looked great on BMW Space Gray and Alpine White. It's an option for those looking to change the appearance but who still like the color of the original car that they bought.

Thanks guys. Protection was also a perk.

Thank You, it took the installers 7 days to do it!

Hmmm that would be a concern, but my car shows no paint work in its short 4800 miles history as well as being sold from a Ferrari Deal

Definitely a few thousand. No one would do this for a few hundred. Heck it costs over a $1000 to get a clear bra installed. Also, I wouldn't want to trust my Ferrari to some economy installer.

With that said you can always do it yourself. It would take a while, but would save you a lot of money.

    Thanks!

Very good pricing estimate. It also will depend on location (I'm noticing its a bit more in the SoCal area). Also, don't forget to add the cost of transportation to your installer, my towing which was about 55 miles each way cost about $550 total.

If I thought of my car purchase that way, instead of buying this Ferrari, I would have bought a used Ranger Rover, E46 M3, Ducati, and a 997 911TT.

You're right, plus it stands out now that its very bright. Also, not many if any 430s came in factory white. Seems to be more of a popular option now-a-days.

Also, I will look into the Chadwicks, thanks for the detailing suggestion. Although, my installer said no wax on the matte. Also, don't think I'll need a wax on this for a while. Car only sees nice days and will see maybe 1000miles a year.

You're absolutely right. Its a great option for someone who wants a simple color change. Painting is not an option for many as it will plummet the resale value.

    Thanks!

    It's a beauty!
Are you the third one to do a matte white wrap you mean?
    Then I'm the 4th one :D
    It's pretty similar to mine.
I had Grigio Medio and Burgundy. Actually is wrapped with matte white.
Congrats and sorry for the late post. :D

Looks very good, have you considered some black wheels? White with black wheels always looks quite sharp
