    Hi All,

I get that rally racing isn't exactly a "Ferrari" thing, but I do know that many of us are gear heads more than just Ferrari fanatics. To boot, when it is at the level of the WRC and it's in your neck of the woods, then of course it becomes much more relevant.
I am with a group that is working hard to bring the World Rally Championship to the USA, specifically to Chattanooga, TN. I am sure you have plenty of questions like why Chattanooga and HOW! The ultra short story for how it started was that it's been a pull rather than a push by the WRC to get it going due to pressures from Ford. That made the start viable but doesn't imply any easy road, there is hard work done but plenty ahead and that is where this thread merges with today. We had a test event earlier this month that went well with rally cars in the Cherokee national forest with WRC observance there. Our next step is to have a race in the same forest in the fall. We are looking for volunteers of course and I am also hoping through this well connected group, we can find some rally enthusiasts that have additional connections to create more in roads for making this a success. If our race in the fall is approved by the FIA and the WRC, we are looking at a 3-5 year contract with the WRC to put the USA back on the world tour for the first time in more than 35 years! This is estimated to make a 34 to 36 million dollar economic impact so this does create a number of opportunities for the right ambitious people.
So is there anyone in this group that can think of one person in the South East that might be excited enough about this event to volunteer or involve their business with our efforts?

    Thanks!

Hi Henry, yes we are working along with MCF, the GP and FlatRock. Getting quite a motorsports network developed in TN!
