This car will be sold in public auction on 11th of July...price starts from 7.700YTL-about 6.000 dolars-... does anyone know something about this car?
Yeah, and how expensive could a Countach engine and transmission be anyhow. Good luck to the future owner...looks like a real project.
looks fun it, but i dont have that kind of luck, i bet it goes for more than that! how much is that? $10,000 US?
Ummm, it looks like a replica to me. The scoops and rear engine cover aren't right, lest it's a very early model I've never seen?
Its the real deal. 25th anni down darft car (carbed) the engine cover is designed like that to clear the airbox assembly..rare car.
Looks like an Annivesario to me. Definitely has been wet. It will probably cost more to bring back than you can imagine. It will be worth it to the right person.
It could be sitting six months or 12+ years. The question, is how long has it actually been sitting ? It is a real 25th DD. As far as value ? Countach auto values, are not the same world wide. It is possible that in Turkey, you have hi importation taxes on automobiles. I know a Gallardo owner in Turkey, that is going to bid on this car. - I hope he wins the car ! Remember that shop rates in Turkey, are much less than in either the U.S. or Europe. Leather restoration in Turkey, is very inexpensive. With this being the case, the restoration bill does not automatically start at 50K.
I think that the key word there is automatically. It's not just labor, parts are gonna be killer expensive too. I do hope whoever gets it does resto it though....poor car.
Ralph, what do you say, we buy it together, bring it here and fixer her up to sell! it would be fun just to take it apart and play with her guts!
Michael It would be really nice. However you cannot bring the car into the USA. The only way to get the car in, would be either a foreign worker permit, or to modify the car to meet epa/dot ($$$$$$) requirements. I also believe epa/dot has some kind of list, of what is importable after modifications. I am not sure this car, is on the list. Someone could drive it across the border ! I know this has been done before. The car has to be 25 years old, before the car can be imported into the USA. It would not qualify, under the show and display permit. The car is a go in either Canada or Europe !
true, but it is the foreign custom confiscated that scares me a little much much easier for a guy in the country to deal with these things
from wikipedia. On 31 December 1995 the customs union between Turkey and the European Union came into effect. Goods can travel between the two entities without any customs restrictions. The Customs Union does not cover essential economic areas, such as agriculture, to which bilateral trade concessions apply, services or public procurement. The EU-Turkey Customs Union is one of the steps towards full Turkish membership of the European Union itself. so according to that if your in an EU country you could import it without any customs complications
yess..it is a real member of 25th anniversary series.....all the information about this car is given by this link.. http://www.tasis.gov.tr/yeni/neotas/aracs.asp i wish this is bought by a Turkish and send to italy via dealership "Dogus Automotive"
I am in Canada and want a DD Anniversario. Just can't risk any amount without carnal knowledge of the car. Too bad.
