We all know the decrease in count of Enzos involved in accidents. They tend to get good press coverage. Does anybody know of any wrecked Scuderias? I've checked the wreckedexotics.com site and, although not exhaustive, saw some challenge cars, but no Scuderias. I'm just curious to see if my Scuderia has lost some of its siblings.

Im sure it has, but I doubt it will ever be as many as the Enzo. The Enzo was a very coveted car and many people bought the car for image, people that lacked the skill to drive the car. The Scud is more of a purists car and is bought by true enthusiasts who can differentiate it from a standard 430. The owners are more likely to be experience drivers.

IIRC one was crashed a few months ago by smashing into one of those concrete support blocks on a highway...California IIRC.

    Don't know of any others.

i find the scud to be much better in the handling and easy to go faster department than the 430. so maybe more retard proof than the 430.

What is the point of this thread?

Are you trying to see if crashes are going to increase the value by diminishing the supply of these cars?

Or do you just want to see some pictures of mangled Scuderias?

Or do you want to see if the Scuderia is less prone to crashes?

It was only a question. My original thought was that Scuds are purchased by a specific group (not that they aren't prone to accidents), and I was just curious.

The mangled Scuderias look like mangled 430s I'd imagine.

I think this is an interesting question. I would assume this type of info is very valuable to the auto industry, perhaps the manufacturers. If I was Ferrari, i would also be curious to know how many of which model sold is still on the road today. This info might not be too useful for new car sales, but from the engineering and services perspective (and parts manufacturing) would probably help them with strategy going forward. Of course this gets more complicated when involving the independent shops, refurbished parts, etc.

I have not crashed mine yet, but I'm trying hard. I had to replace my brakes at 700 miles. I expected more. Mostly track use.

Amen to that. The amount of mechanical grip in the Scud is amazing. I'm trying hard too, without success.

The rotors were ok, but the pads toast. The calipers are a bit discolored from the excessive heat. I am going to have to go to a more aggressive pad. I am hopeful to get whatever the Challenge Cars use.

A majority of the Enzos that were totaled, were completely rebuilt around the VIN. Enzos are like the bottomless plate of pancakes at IHOP - you cut out a chunk and it just magically grows back.
