I have a 94 speciale, after spending time on this site and looking at some great looking rims I decided to purchase a set of 355 rims for my car. Going through the whole process and (expense)of new spacers, lugnuts etc ,I decided to purchased a new set of Michelin PS 2 tires. After mounting these tire I could not beleave how BAD/Small they looked on my car, the round edges of this tire(the original Pirelli Pzeros seam to have a squared look) makes it appear smaller, along with the fact that because its also taller, it also rises the car alittle which of course makes the tire look even smaller. Does anyone who has used this combination feel this way or is it just me ? I feel like I have small spare's on my car. I am hoping to return these tires (never driven on) and buy a tire with a higher side wall ,not so rounded over the edges. What a shame because the PS2 feel very grippy just sitting there.!!!!

Have you got any pics mate? :) I had the same 'rounded tyres' on my 348 wheels. Tyres were also Michelins. :) No big deal IMO. :):)

According to tirerack.com the 348 should use a 215/50/17 front and 255/45/17 rear. The 355 uses 225/40/18 front and 265/40/18 rear, which incidentally are listed as optional 18" sizes on the 348. Did you change sizes?

Edit: Tires can change from manufacturer to manufacturer. I have seen as much as a 1/4 inch variation in diameter in the "same" tire size from different brands.

I went with 225/40/18 front 265/40 in rear. The crazy thing is that my front tire (stock 348 )is actually 1/4 taller/wider then the new 355 rim/tire PS2. Truly the front tire looks like a spare. After taken some measuments I also discovered that the Spacer/lug nut combo that I was sent was Wrong. I was told and brought a 20mil rear spacer set, with my car being a 94 speciale and already had offset rims, that I would simply need to add 20 mil spacers, this would get my tires to sit the same as they are now, after measuring the rear before/after, my rear end sits in 1/2 inch less then before.!! I should have gotten at least a 30/ 35mil spacer. So this notion that adding 355 rims to your 348 is easy has not happened....I am sure if the rear tires had been offset correctly the rears "might" be ok. But the fronts are just not right. If my camera was working, I would send photos for you to see yourself. Is there a tire combo that I could use w/355 rims that would give me same height as stock ? I realize going to a lower profile tire combine w-bigger rims(18) would change somewhat ,however It should not be that different over all
