WSJ Report

I just caught the last minute of this TV show and they mentioned a Ferrari. I only got the last 1/2 of the story, so hopefully someone here can fill in the rest.

Some guy became friends with a rich guy that owns a Ferrari. He wanted a Ferrari and then got one (not sure if on his own???). The guy is pretty tall so he couldn't fit into a "compact" sports car. Michael Jordan, his friend apparenty, sold him his customized F-car in the early 90s that would fit people his height.

So two questions:

1) What was the first half of this story?

2) What kind of F-car did MJ supposedly have around this time? The only only I've ever seen him in was a red 550, which didn't come out until the 1997MY.
