I've been lurking around and asking questions, but I think that I am now finally ready to buy an fcar. I have searched a few dealerships and have been in contact with an owner already about purchasing one, but I want to see my other options before I pull the trigger on one.

My ideal situation would be to have

    2006 or later F430 Spider F1
    Rosso Corsa exterior
    Beige Interior
    Power Daytonas
    Yellow Tach
    <1000 miles
    No challenge grill

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would be really grateful.

    Best,
    Jeremy

Well you've come to the right place. I know the dupont registry isn't the greatest place to look but check the ads on this forum. Is mileage or price gonna affect your decision on a few Fcars? There's also someone who post's on a regular basis on this forum who's with a dealer as well but I can't remember his name. I'll search the forums and keep an eye out for you.

Well if you look at my last thread, I was given overwhelming advice that any car over $280,000 (Thats a liberal estimate) is overpriced, however, the right car, with the right options, and the right mileage always comes at a premium to me..

Mileage-wise, the less the better, but anything over 1000 is getting to be too much.

    http://www.luxurymotors.com/inv/search2/inventory_detail.aspx?vehicle_id=21169&start_year=1950&end_year=2009&start_price=&end_price=&model=&make=Ferrari&color=&mileage=0&lesst=&dealer_id=&dealer=--+All+Locations+--&type=&keywords=

This car would be my ideal. I am considering it, what do you guys think?

Hm, I still think $289k is rather steep for a spider. It does have low miles but what are the options on this one for it to be priced so high? It might not mean whole lot, but I think a spider costing that much might have carbon ceramics on them at least.

It certainly isn't laiden with all the options in the world, but it perfectly fits my criteria.

Also, you might want to search "luxury motors" and see what comes up; they don't seem to have a lot of fans.

The choice is entirely up to you of course. But I just think for that amount you can get alot more for less spent.

Thats essentially the purpose of the thread: To find a car that is more in the price range that everyone is talking about (260-280K) with the specified criteria. I personally have not been able to find any though.

You should buy my old one at www.RTGT.com. It is going for a real low price but is a six speed and it has 4,500 miles.

    $240k I believe or lower

    Rosso Corsa
    Six Speed
    light brown interior
    red calipers
    hi fi sound
all books tools, covers and keys
    red stitching
    yellow tach
    challenge wheels
    lowered 14mm
CF vents, CF six speed base, CF door sills

IMO you should save yourself the depreciation on a newer one, this car is perfect. If not the six speed you can find F-1's for a little more

the right price for this car should be $280 to $290 . but how many have you found at $250? what do you think that 2006 with the 6 speed should bring?

Everyone claims they can get the perfect deal until it comes down to paying for it. :) Frankly, a 2007 spider for less than $300K with that kind of milage is a good deal. In Ferrari world there are still no free lunches. You get what you pay for.

    +1

That seemed to be the point of thread! At least I thought anyway! I hear all the time about these cars falling and being bought for $50k less then they ware last year...but when you are a check writer, they never seem to pop up!

I've been looking for around 2 months now, and most of the cars that I come across are about 25-30k over MSRP, those having a nice options list --> Power daytonas, navigation, ceramics etc.

This one is a beauty, but doesnt have that extensive list of options, and the MSRP, if you see on the sticker is about 228k I think, and add about 25k and I arrived at 255k.

Thats my reasoning on the estimate.

25-30k over msrp??...........not on an 07' or 08'.........and probably not even an 06' unless the seller is desparate. And for sure not from an "authorized dealer" unless you are "in the circle".
