Gents, I want to buy a 308 GTB, preferably carbureted, a solid driver with no major cosmetic or mechanical needs. So, neither a trailer queen nor a big project. Close to CO or the Rocky Mountain Region would be a plus. Almost any color will do though white and red aren't big favorites--loved the blue 1979 GTB of PaulC (01-04-2016) but he's not responded to my message. Modifications OK so long as they're sensible (ignition, fusebox, cam pulleys, water pump, exhaust). Additionally, I will be selling my 1969 Porsche 912, nice solid driver (there I go again), recent paint (white), tires, 1750 kit, MSD ignition, Certificate of Authenticity (all original matching drivetrain) and 40 years worth of receipts. The 912 could be part of the buy or the straight sale of your 308 is just fine with me as well. Contact me via email <[email protected]> and send me pics, location and price. I will respond to all messages.
I think I have PaulC contact info......that is a nice one (other than the easily fixed cam spec). Come to Austin and see it! Alan Do you want me to track him down??
Alan, Yes, if you can locate him please do so and give him my email address: <[email protected]> so that we can discuss the car. It was his/friend's car that got me thinking about GTBs all over again. Have you seen the car in person or know much about it? I'm not so worried about cam specs (?) as I am about the bubbles on the lower door panel.
