Hello, I am new here. I found this forum after googling a Ferrari VIN . I am looking for a 348(tb preferably) . This will be my first Ferrari, so Red/Tan is a must. This is great forum, I have been reading/lurking for a bit . I would like to buy from someone on this site, and would much rather a face to face sale, but not a must . I am in no rush at all, and will wait for the right car. Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome. Any places I should be looking ? I have been watching ebay, this site, and autotrader...
What is wrong with the black 348 on ebay ? Car looks the part... Been for sale for a long time . I really don't want a black one, or I would pursue it. Just wondering why it hasn't sold.

Probably nothing wrong with the car, but only a personal inspection can tell. 348s are very robust cars. Maybe most buyers want something with a top that comes off, though having driven a few tbs, I really appreciate the stiffness of the frame. Most first-time buyers want red, I think it may be a requirement for first-time Ferrari ownership, so black may be a problem. The car looks great in black, kinda sinister. With black wheels and a light tint job, it would really stand out....or not.
348 buyers tend to keep their cars, as they are rather trouble-free, so be patient and something will turn up that flips your switch. Congratulations on your choice.

I'm not sure why that black one hasn't sold either, makes me wonder if the ppi is an issue. Appearance is only the start. Could be an engine issue. Also, people tend to turn their heads to a 50k car. But if you find one that has been taken care of mechanically, 50k isn't a big deal for a 348.

FYI that black car sold last on eBay for $24k... Quite a markup they're asking..

You came to the right place.

Sooner or later one will pop up, luckily you mentioned that you are patient. When I was in the market, I too demanded red but then backed off that stance when I saw how beautiful yellow is. I bought a yellow one and have no regrets

The more I look around, the more I gain an appreciation for colors other than red. No matter how hard I try, I just can't help but want a red car. This is my first Ferrari . I heard that 80% of first timers choose red . Nice car though, I can see one in my future, just not this time.
