There will be a set of 550 Barchetta carbon seats on BAT soon. No idea of the $$ but they are black.
I am interested in some carbon back seats. Not picky if they are original Ferrai but italian aftermarket brand. Any suggestions?
The OEM carbons are so hard to source I’ve decided I’m going to use the Kevlar sparcos is as a starting point and have them reupholstered in tan leather to look like factory. A much cheaper option also. Although I’d pay 20k for factory’s, 20k is my limit. I can have a set of sparcos made factory like for 10k or so.
I had pole positions in my 911, and my M3. I think the sparco bolsters are the same. But you are right both are a pain in a street car. That’s one reason I was looking for a set of the factory carbon buckets. I want to do the Sparcos because of the yellow carbon shell. Looks a lot like the f40 seat shell. Any carbon f gurus here with the skill set, know-how and time that would be interested in reproducing CS seats. Pm me Image Unavailable, Please Login
To my eye, the Recaro Sportster closely resembles the factory CF seats. It's not a race bucket, but a folding seat. And the design itself fits well with the 355 interior. The only problem is the headrest part is too tall. I would check this on the Sparcos. The factory comfort and CF seats are pretty short to fit in the 355 interior, about 3" less height than typical seats. I would have Sportsters in my GTB if not for this problem. The stock comfort seats are terrible.
