Stuart, Mike Gassman here in Waynesboro Virginia is an excellent source of the best Triumphs. He is a trusted friend of mine.

You could give him a call for some leads or ideas. https://www.gassmanautomotive.com/

    Best of luck, Jeff

I did the same with a motorcycle. Called the buyer to see if I could buy it back and he said there was no way he was going to part with it. :(

So I know how you feel, and wishing you the best.

Sold my TR3 a few years ago. I'll be buying another one this year, and likely throwing much $$ at it to make it like the one I sold :(

I would contact triumph clubs. They will know car owners and restorers who may be looking to move a car. Gets you ahead of the curve, not behind it. Why pay a middleman, like BAT, if you don't have to. Most cars people will try to sell, before giving to a auction house or online auction. Loads of TR6s out there. Club guys are usually better caretakers, they love the marque.

Does it have to be a 1976? I have a pal with an exceptional 1 prior owner 1973 with factory hardtop and overdrive. It is show quality.

I'm curious, what do you think you'll have to pay for a really nice one? $25k+?

Yeah, there a lot of “ok” ones, but true nice examples are hard to find.
