Perhaps a dumb question - how do you tell which version you have?

I am thinking about taking my tubi off but it does not have a model or serial number on it. Mfg date of 7/00.

@priericky128 - there is nothing on the muffler to tell you. You would have to know when you bought it or by comparing sounds with other known Tubi. Some Tubi dealers can trey and look up the serial number but Tubi records are spotty.

Thought something like that was the case. I emailed back and forth with tubi last year and they could not find it. Mine was probably installed over in Europe before it was imported so that doesn’t help. 09/00 build date on the car, 07/00 date on the silencer.

I am either going to remove my tubi this fall and replace with a cs one or keep the tubi and put oem valved tips on it.

I can ask one of my fca friends here if I can compare to his car if it’s of interest but I am a little dubious about the efficacy of that given that we have different headers and cats.

I have euro headers and cats with it and it’s not insanely loud but I am switching bc at low rpm it’s obnoxious to my neighbors on the cold start and it has some drone in the 2-3 rpm range.

Shoot me a pm if you’re interested.

Rick ,is your TUBI a quiet version? Supposedly there is 3 versions and Im gonna get a number off mine to find out. I got a quiet one and maybe will sell it and get a louder version because want some sound and I do have the valves

Mine is non valved and I think it is very loud but I don’t have a way to be 100% certain. My exhaust was made in 2000 and there is no serial number of part number on it.

I see. I’m gonna try to look at the numbers and see if I can get any answers that way, but mine is definitely very quiet and I do have factory valves .

I also know one thing that when you have headers and 200 cell cats it’s always much louder no matter what you do with the muffler because I’ve done a few times, including my own car that I put headers on which is a 430 spider and I thought I’m gonna get a muffler too, so I’ll be sounding pretty good well guess what by putting the headers on that’s all you need so there you go unless you experience something you’ll never know and people are not specific on what system or exhaust they have
