Hey Guys; I am looking for either a Urraco (pref a 3.0) or Jalpa for myself, not looking for a concours car but something that needs some TLC so I can fix it myself and get it at a decent price . If anyone knows where I can find either of these cars please let me know, I would be very greatful. Mike [email protected]
Actually Raymond I would love the Silhouette, but I just don't think I will find one : ( I saw a few on the Japanese yahoo auctions pages from ages ago but I couldn't translate the page to english, plus I don't think I will find one in my budget, but one can hope ; )
Hey bro. Why not go to Portugal and check this out http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lamborghini-Urraco-P250-S-Classic-Sports-Car_W0QQitemZ250209473532QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item250209473532 but please.....be sure to take me with you. Room and board will be free
Thanks V!!!!! But I was told that ad is a scam typical Portugese (LMAO) I am joking of course for those who don't know me
there is a USA spec car in Florida, i think its on Hemmings or collectorcartraderonline. i will see if i can find a link. do you want or care about USA emissions? i dont know anything about Canadian regulations, but i will keep my eyes open for you as i want a good driver grade euro Jalpa. i do not want a USA spec. edit : http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/lamborghini/jalpa/549108.html found link.
Hey bro, anytime. Just like I tell all my friends whenever I am there the door is open. I got a pad by the beach in Estoril the area is to die for!
The one I made a thread about at Lamborghini of Dallas has 5,243km on it. It's an '88 in silver with Porsche brakes, fuel pressure gauge, and a few more touches. Site reports the exterior though is in need refinishing.
Bravos alone would add $8,000 to $10k value to the car i would think, depending on the overall condition of both the wheels and the car.
you can still find good Jalpas around / under the $30k mark. its a buyers market, and very few people with the cash for a car, want a slow heavy Italian car you cant get parts for. these guys with nose bleed prices are dreaming. i would rather buy something else dollar for dollar, if they ever command a premium much over $30k. these cars are carbed, and will not pass emissions in some states, and the euro cars ( which i prefer) cannot be registered in other states. so those with cold hard cash can buy many different 70's and 80's era cars. this will keep values down , at least in this poor economy we are now in. i should mention winter is not a good time to sell, unless the car needs to "go" and that means better prices. my .02
Thanks Joey, I actually got a call from Lambo Dallas regarding that car. But I do appreciate you posting for me
I have a nice white US car....but I am also one of those dreamers....since it's a nice car and I am not in a particular hurry to get rid of it.
I wouldn't get rid of it Doug, it's all original and they are completely undervalued in North America, in Europe the demand almost twice as much for Jalpa's, you won't regret hanging on to it but you may if you sell it. Just my .02
Mike- Thanks. That's the reason why I'm not in any hurry to sell it. I've been told the same thing by a number of Lambo experts. P.S. - thanks again for looking up the history on it!
Glad to hear that and no problem, it was my pleasure it's always nice to know how your car left the factory.
Asking price and selling are two pairs of shoes, the prices in europe are sometimes just jokes, I have seen a white Jalpa in Switzerland I test drove 4 years ago and could have bought for 28k chf being sold to an official dealer, the price immediately went up to 48k, then to 68k and is now at ridicolous 88k chf. Imagine, this car has 80t km on the odo is 23 years old and shall now cost almost as much as new... (price of a jalpa was around 100k chf in the eighties). The car needs a lot of work, you can easily invest 30k additionally.
I hear what your saying Raymond, but right now you can get Jalpa's here for 25-30K USD, I have been monitering the adverts in Europe for quite some time and the prices are between 40-65,000 Euro. I know what they sell for is a completely different story; but the asking prices in the 2 Continents are way off.
Raymond, i am with you 110 % asking prices on jalpas are really funny IMO seller saw prices on miuras and countach and probably thought jalpas should be 50-60k euro cars in real life the market for jalpas is small, few know what they are and nobody is payng 50k euro for an average one and the 50k-60k euro are for sale for ever my fother sold one 7-8 years ago for something like 23k euro then they are of course more expensive today, but the price to sell is still 25-40k euro depending on conditions, Km ,history, ecc... 88CHF is dreaming
