Anyone follow this series? Is the racing as good as BTCC?

I usually download the season at the end and follow up through the races, but can't watch in real-time. I've enjoyed the WTCC a lot, but haven't really kept up with BTCC. Wish I could make a better comparison for the two. I do really enjoy the series though.

I'm just looking for some racing to watch in the F1 off-season. Pretty much everything is available in racing-underground. In the middle of race 2 in the 09 BTCC season now. :)

Ah yes, I remembered you mentioned racing-underground in the other thread. :D I recently downloaded the '71, '72, and '73 F1 yearly reviews and have enjoyed them. Dakar starts Jan 2nd, and I usually download them each night to watch. 15 days in a row of something to look forward to when I get home. :)

EDIT: I hope my wife doesn't read that and take it wrong. :D

WTCC or BTCC are just plain rubbish in my book!!

Who wants to watch a bunch of front-wheel drive Diesel cars driven by over-paid retired F1 drivers trying to emulate banger racing on old age?

Alsolutely awful!! The driving is terrible. It's contact sport!!

If you want to see REAL racing in tin-tops, watch the FIA GT championship that's getting better and better. Good mixture of circuits too.

FT1 & 2 are good, but so is GT3 & 4 which I also follow. There is great diversity of cars, a mixture of driving talents, pit stops to give some exitement, etc...

Another good series to watch is Dutch Supercar Challenge: a mixture of GT and Touring cars, based on a power-to-weight ratio, which is actually quite good to watch. And none of these horrible front wheel drive that don't oversterr!!

DTM could be good, but there are only 2 types of car now, and too much team orders. That's killing what was a good series only a few years ago, with 5 different constructors.
