WTF "Is it a Mustang?"

Must be that yellow color. Ford has been making a crap load of "muskrats" with that color.

 

No, man. If he pointed at the racing stripes and asked about your Corvette, then yes, remove the stripes.
And always remember: Half the people are dumber than average!

 

This is why I hate talking about cars with people who aren't car people. Happens every once and awhile with random people I know that aren't car people who are just trying to make small talk. Like nails on a chalkboard, just not enjoyable.

The guy is selling direct tv door to door, he probably hasn't seen a hot meal in weeks.

Not everyone knows what it is, or a Rolex, or what a million dollars looks like.

But if you gave him a can of coke and a home cooked meal, I bet he could ramble all the flavors in the food, cause he hasn't tasted it in months.

Cut the guy a break - better off he didn't know what it was, you should of just agreed with him and said,yes, its a limited edition mustang.

 

Kind of agree with this actually... I'm a tech pro and *intuitively* recognize technology. I dont ridicule people, though, that can't tell the difference between a MacBook Air and a Samsung Series 9 Ultrabook, or between a Galaxy S3 and an HTC Evo One. Tech guys *often* do this with "normals" and I find it obnoxious "hahaha! moron thinks he has an iPhone and he's looking at a freakin' Motorola Atrix!" (like that). Everyone has different hobbies and interests. "Mustang" is a legendary brand and horse=Mustang isn't a crazy stretch.

 

A girl that I went to school with text me this weekend when a few of my friends passed her on the highway. They were driving a 458 spider, 599 GTO and a 360 spider. She says I just got passed by 3 beautiful ponies on the hwy. I don't know why but her calling them ponies got to me like finger nails on a chalk board. Don't get me wrong I'm a mustang fan and by no way am I a snob about Ferraris, but it did make me cringe a bit.

I sometimes enjoy conversing with people who aren't car savvy cause they think my 355 is a lot newer than it is....they have no idea it's 2 decades old and say:"Is that a 2012?"

 

I get the same thing with my 308. The looks on their faces when I tell them how old it is always amuses me.

A lady once asked me if my Testarossa was a Mustang.

So I traded it in for a 355.

 

I tell you I am still mad at the homeless guy that called my car a corvette. I flip him off every time I see him LOL

 

But it's got a scoop on the side and racing stripes... Has to be a mustang.

Non car people I get, until the get where that act like they are. Then it just gets annoying.

Put some pics of my f1 355 on my face book and had one of my friends ask me the same thing. He asked "How do you like your new mustang?" I said I loved it. The good news i thought is a 15 year old ferrari looks like a new mustang. No biggie I bought it for me.

No reason to get bent out of shape about it...
Not everyone is as into cars as we are... some people just dont know.

i had a friend bring his dingy bimbo girl-toy to my house the other day and i was in my garage cleaning it. my F355 was in the garage as well. she looked at it and said, "i think i need to drive it."

i was like......you have to be crazy. i dont even know you and you asked to drive my Ferrari?

A friend of mind did the same to the VP who just bought a Porsche Boxster S, my friend goes up to him and says wow, is that the new Miata ! LoL VP likes wtf??? My friend says, sorry I know nothing about cars -except he races on the weekends and a big time car guy!
