2014 Ferrari F40 For Sale - 1014659 - duPont REGISTRY
Wow. ! How can you resist the temptation until now to part with this gem, I'm sure somebody is going to love the opportunity to purchase a brand new car from nearly 30 years ago. The only dilemma is do you buy it so that you are the first and only person to use it, or continue to keep it as it is like a piece of appreciating artwork.
No kidding, I would rather own a well used, well maintained one. And then proceed to drive it whenever the urge compelled me without worry of it's value when I put it back in the garage.

A car dealer from Singapore offered this car to me 3 weeks ago with the same pictures? Odd but probably true
so what is this thing? - a completely new unused f40 that somebody put in a box 25 years ago? - an f40 made from spare parts, but never really registered as a car? - a fabrication/replica/fake bs etc?
Very low miles, real deal, based on those photos. When they were actually taken and where is another matter......
You can't, but maybe you can if it's this "super special edition" that comes with a fake VIN. On another note: I wonder how many people know that it is VERY easy to get "free" miles on an F40. The odometer is easy to disconnect.
Wonder if someone bought 12 cars new and are selling off this one and maybe others later. $4.8M would now be closer to $20M. But $4.8M of a conservative stock (e.g, Apple) stock bought in 1990 would be $110M. That's a few GTOs.
So here we are, amongst the most knowledgable Ferrari people that we know, and nobody really knows definitively what this car is? I am surprised.
The #4 of 12 thing is BS at least from a Ferrari standpoint. The car is NOT a 2014 as can be seen from the photos supplied that it bears plates and information in common with other F40s. Without knowing the VIN it's difficult to say what it is, but what we do know is that it was posted with a fake VIN by a just registered user on that site. Just my 2 cents.
