    So last night as I was driving back home from dinner my wife told me that she felt something falling on her leg from behind the glove compartment. True enough there was a plastic part (pic below) that I have no idea where it came from or what it does. It looks like some sort of bracket made up from two plastic parts where one slides inside the other.

    If anyone can shed some light on wtf this is I would really appreciate it.

    That is the cover for the pollen filter from under the dash.

    Probably not locked into place the last time it was serviced.
