Time will tell . . . according to the latest news, it's entirely possible. Theissen's brainchild of an all German line-up could be a reality. Wurz is regarded as one of the most intelligent F1 drivers and is obviously paid well by Ron Dennis but . . the only real hurdle to this occuring is Jacques' exisitng contract. The termination of the Sauber deal is reputed to cost BMW about 10M.

I like Wurz and would like to see him race full time rather than his talents being utilized on testing and Friday's.

I think Wurz and Heidfeld are cut from the same cloth - both are solid, reliable drivers. I think Wurz did an awesome job at Renault in 1998. He deserves another chance.

    And he is Austrian :)

Wurz' problem is, that the guy is very tall. From a BMW perspective his Austrian nationality wouldn't be a real issue as it is a big BMW market and the key thing is that they speak the same language. So Carol and Theissen have a point in having an all "German" team.

Meanwhile BMW continues to struggle in testing the new car, which prematurely shuts down. Quick Nick mentioned that "driving the V10 was more fun".

On a related note: Kovalainen is definitely out of the picture and JV's chances are improving. However the lack of an official announcement is telling how much Jacques is appreciated by BMW...
