Does anybody know when Tech day is at WWoC. I have an invitation, but I left before opening it.
The Tech day is invitation only... this year.. Not like previous ones.. where anyone will come in.. BTW.. they are calling it a Customer Appretiation day as opposed to tech day. Appt. for looking at the car. Short intros to how to use your Ferrari/Maserati (A/C,NAV/Radio and other stuff) They told me that without a pass, security will not let me in. I will not be there because i didn't get an invite.
Ummmm, that's ok Rob. BTW: that's no Lambo bull. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
So, who is going. It's this Sunday. Invitations only (?) I'm going with my brother and take the 360 Spider. Hope to meet some of you (again).
I got a postcard inviting me to the F1 party - and all I bought there was a liter of Helix. Nada from WWOC - and all I bought there was a car. Oh, well. Hoist one for me Rijk, I'm sure we'll meet sometime. Ron
An impression of last Sunday. WOW I didn't expect to see a McLaren F1 or MC12 when I saw someone posted pictures Whose cars are they? Any information about them? It looks like you had an amazing time
I was thinking the same. From years past, the lot was always filled early. This year, they must have a new marketing philosophy. I hope it works for them.
I went at noon.....DOA......No Music.....Boring salesmen....BLAH! They did not want to feed the general public, so they made it an invite only.. I say let the public in! Eat and be Merry!
In past years I went to the tech day most years..had a great time, met my freind and always bought some kind of F-car part or t-shirt or cap and about every other year, I left one of the ferraris there with Justin to make the repairs the techs found were needed ( I thought..brilliant marketing...with my old cars I usually go to independant garages but I am thinking...hey the car is already here in the shop and there are plenty of new and old freinds to give me a lift back to the city...so I would leave the car for repair!) this year no invite, and I always spent more there than the bagel and coffee I ate, but I really miss the opportunity to mingle with freinds, the cars and the techs. Maybe snobby high rollers complained about the sightseers and riff-raff and wanted to feel more exclusive with the high priced leased or purchased cars...sad.

I loved the crowded festive "open house " street fair atmosphere esp. all the kids many of whom knew an astonishing amount of F-car info....I always felt comfortable at WWOC and was kidding about the snobs, the WWOC freinds and family are very hospitable...not at all like teh dealer in Scent of a Woman...remeber that scene 2g's cash bribe just to test drive the mondail ( OK to a blind guy) I wonder if that really went on and if F-car salesmen, like NY maitre d's go home everymonth with pocket fulls of cash, from "test Drives"
poppy seed bagel crumbs in my superamerica? Justiiiiiiinnnnnnn! I want a full comp. detail..right NOW!
