OK, there are a lot of things at this site that is good, really good in fact, but their Customer Support really is amongst the worse I have ever come across.

Anyone else that has the same VERY POOR experience from "CONTACT US" at
    https://www.owners.ferrari.com/ ....?

I have asked some various questions under their "CONTACT US" and I have NEVER had ANY reply during the past 12 months.
I have sent 5 or so reminders, but still no reply....

Anyone know how to send them a wakeup call ?

I went through them to make reservations for my factory tour, and they responded pretty quickly. I actually thought it was funny how over-the-top snooty their grammer was in their response. Maybe it depends what you are asking them.

Well, I have posted several of my questions here over the year(s), and have had very good reponse.
However, this time, my questions are related specifically to my car (not model, but as an individual).
    Ciao, Anders

PS: Which [ ] did you click when you were sucessful regarding the tour ?
Perhaps I should use the same enterance to their heart....?

Yes I have experienced very poor customer service from Ferrari. I can't tell if it's just arrogance or incompetence, but I've stopped trying to deal with them. I get my info and my purchases from other sources now.

BTW - If you think the Owner's site is bad, try getting support from the ferraristore.com people.

The Marelli web servers probably have some dirty contacts. Nothing that can't be fixed.

I have had better luck.....they have responded to me via email, and put my cars in My Garage.....confirming original paint codes and such..

I don't think they ever got the pics loaded though...they actually emailed a Customer Survey out just before I lost my old computer and email....I'll try to find it....

It is cumbersome as you enter and leave the secure environments....not smart enough to know, how you'd change that....

They are using English as a SECOND language you know.....c'mon!
YOU could try to learn ITALIAN......;)

I've always received a fairly timely response. Recently I ordered a car cover that was taking, what I felt, was an inordinate amount of time to receive. After an initial complaint, I was given the status of the order on an almost weekly basis as they followed it through from mfr. to shipping, to my receipt of same. No complaint here.

(Humor) Have been talking to their IT guy. Nice fellow, if a bit set in his ways. The problem is their server's Slow Down light is on, think it needs new cam belts. Also, the driver's headers were too thin and blew out one of the banks. The HD headers are said to be covered under warranty, but so far they are denying the claim...

This is slightly unfair, if I may say so. The Owners' site is run by Joanne Marshall and she only has a couple of people to help her. I don't believe there is any 'arrogance or incompetence' involved, just lack of resources. I suspect whether you get a prompt reply to an e-mail or not is just down to how busy they are at the time. I know also that they recognize the site speed issues and have for a while. Doing something about it is another matter, though...

First, as a fellow webmaster (since before web, anyone remember BBS) by Joanne Marshall is doing an impressive job! Also am a web consultant....

Have a feeling there is simply too much use of JAVA that slows things down combined with their server perhaps being (co)located on a slow hub. The amount of pop-ups gets very irritating and if you want to use the site's discussion board you MUST turn off your pop-up blocking software. There is more, but Ferrari is not paying me as a consultant and am sure they have qualified individules on their side of the pond.

Again, the site is VERY impressive and provides A LOT of information plus the organization is very good all in all.

I run FC on top of a full time job, have no employees, although I do outsource the hosting and much of the low level admin stuff. We had problems with a previous host, but as soon as I could research the best new host and then I made the move. I answer EVERY PM and email, which can total over 200 a day. Man, if I could do this full time and had some employees think what we could accomplish. :)

Maybe its simply doing something for the love and not as a job. I don't mind every minute I spend and don't waste any seconds.

    To be clear.....

My frustration is primarily with the ferraristore.com site. They have a policy not to provide any phone contact and they don't answer emails.

And if you think the Ferrari Owner's Site is bad, try the Maserati Owner's Site...!!! Terrific, no infos, user manuals not updated (most recent is the 1992 Shamal!!!), always the same things to read, and very very very slow! I think they share the same server...

It's the 'Lower Level Admin stuff' that makes a company great......But with posts as follows, why would people that bust their butts for you want to help out and make you look good? I guess you are not at the point to offer a good 401K plan to your best Mod's! The 'sheeple' at the bottom of the totem pole should be the ones praised the most.

Please, don't tell them that! The ones with no life make the best mods. They work their ass off for nothing in return but a few permissions and the title. I get all the money from their hard work. I let them have their fun. This one was for an April fools joke. They'll do other fun stuff like editing the posts of spammers and we have our fair share of photo editing experts. Actually, one of our chops was published in Maxim magazine when they did an article on fake pics.I feel like a baby sitter though.

Peter, you might not be up on technical jargon, but by "low level admin stuff" I'm talking about the server architects and administrators installing the hardware and configuring the Unix.

Do you see FerrariChat.com moderators complaining? I know in your twisted world that wants to make me into someone I'm not you would like to think that. Fact is we do the best we can to balance the workload and do the very things you don't think I do. If we didn't, then I wouldn't be able to find mods and I wouldn't be able to keep them. I just spent almost $2,000 buying all the mods shirts and hats.

Only time mods throw a fit is when I talk about reorganizing and replacing a few. Ask Darth. :)

Just FYI to make clear this part was not posted by me.

The moderators on FC that have read this know the context it was in and don't have any problems with what I said. Are you sinking so low Peter going back over 3 years to attack me?

    Facts about good mods...

    1) Students and others with jobs that allow plenty of recreational computer time make the best mods. High activity is not a requirement, but it helps with the role.

    2) Moderating is a very key role that makes FerrariChat.com successful. If I didn't have users begging to be a mod, or current mods so unhappy they weren't staying, or they weren't doing a good job, then I might have to get some professional mods. The fact you are missing is users beg to be mods, for every mod opening I get dozens of applications. Mods that come on board don't want to leave. All that said I do what I can to thank them.

"I get all the money from their hard work." is a very contextual statement and sounds awful out of the context of admins talking with each other. I make money because users and sponsors like to participate. There are hundreds of things that make the community work and a big part is moderators.

Yeah, you're right. Gentry was a valuable asset to FC. I shouldn't have lobbied so hard for banning him. :D:D

I am totally surprised with this thread. I joined the owners site when I bought my first 308 almost two years ago. They put the car in "my garage" and gave me extra information about the car I was not aware of. In the time since, I have asked numerous technical questions about the cars paint, its interior, and how to obtain a heritage certificate, and always they responded within 24 hours or so. In fact, they just added my second 308 to "my garage" and sent an email thanking ME! They always thank me for helping ME. Tell me another car maker in the world that would do that for you. We should be thanking them.

As for FC and Rob, wow. Rob and the Mods are doing a GREAT job, no complaints on my end.

OK, that was the only thing. I guess I'll make you a mod again. I sent Peter pictures of the new moderator torture chamber in my basement. When are you in Dallas again? :p
