I know some people that are in Vegas right now, and I want them to grab some stuff at the Wynn Ferrari Store. How is the selection and prices there? Also, I heard there was a $10 fee to enter the dealership, is that true? Are you allowed to take pictures? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

You can get into the merchandise store without paying. They've got a lot of stuff :)

If you own a Ferrari or Maserati, bring your key with you or insurance card. That will get you free admission to the vehicle showroom. As already mentioned, the room full of logo merchandise is free for anyone to enter. If you own another exotic, bring that key insteadand you shouldnt have a problem. If you have a Honda, well, sorry, pay the $10.

No pictures- unless you want to pay them to take you picture with one of the cars. The gift shop is pretty cool- mostly clothing. The 10 beans is worth it- they have no choice- it would be a madhouse if they didn't charge. Most of the cars are down stairs - so you can't see them from he front. Last time I was their they had a 599 and an Fxx.

You may also want to try teh dealership at Ceasars- also $10 - they had a Koeneggseg(sp) las time I was there.

I have visited probably 15 or so Ferrari dealerships around the country, and the Wynn dealer is quite possibly the most cold and uncomfortable. Understandably so due to the amount of people with asinine questions they deal with daily, but if I were in the market for a new Ferrari, I would not go there. Why they did not place Las Vegas' only Ferrari dealership in a *nice* offsite location instead of a tourist trap is beyond me.

Yeah, no kidding. I went up to the "door guy" and said hello, he didn't even mutter a peep. Just stood there like I was a ghost or something. Then my wife informed me we had to pay to get in, so I went into the gift shop.

Most of the people in the Wynn I ran into were "quiet"...

Ferrari dealers normally have some of the nicest people working in them. In Las Vegas, like everything else in this town, you have to know somebody or "be somebody" to be treated well. This town makes no sense.

I respectfully disagree, though I could see it happening. I was treated pretty well when I went to the dealership (didn't have to pay $10..since I was FOC they let me and my buddy in w/o the cover). Spoke to a couple of the guys there and were both friendly the entire time. You're not allowed to take pictures IIRC though.

I must interject. The dealer has nothing they can possibly do other than be stuffy. They are located in the newest billion dollar resort/casino on the strip with heavy foot traffic. Everyone visiting wants to pretend they can buy a car just to get close enough to smell the seats AND will lie their way in to do it. If you've been there, you've seen the foot traffic and their staff continually overwhelmed with tourists that dont make enough in their entire lifetime to equal the cost of a Rolls-Royce. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but that's the way this one rolls. There are so many people trying to CLAIM they can buy a car, but cant. They still do an extrordinary business, but most of it is telephone/internet sales rather than in-person sales. Do I think it's stupid for them to be in the Wynn hotel? Not really, it's great exposure and great brand publicity. It's a favor to the Ferrari image worldwide. Look at all the people talking about Ferraris when they see the store, and then realize it happens every day all year even on Christmas. Lamborghini doesnt do that, they're 15 minutes drive from the strip instead.

Now that being said, if you go there and you expect to be treated and wined and dined like a regular dealership AND you can also actually afford a car there, the resolution is simple. Call them and make an appointment, tell them you're a legitimate buyer, what you're lookin for, and set a time to go in and meet the salesman. If the attitude and stuffieness continues at that point, and you're being treated rudly even after this, then the hell with them, go elsewhere.

I think this may have been mentioned before, but Lamboghini LV will be opening its second location, in the new Palazzo at the Venetian. It is scheduled for late 2007 or early 2008. This is NOT a replacement; they will also be keeping the existing facility on Dean Martin Drive.

Ben thanks for your advice, my parents are in LV and were considering going to the dealership in the Wynn. They are barely interested in Ferraris and would not have been worth it for them to take the trip and waste their money. Thanks for saving them $20 :).

This is why exotic car dealerships should not be in tourist traps. Ferrari does not need brand publicity. It is what it is, and everyone already knows that.

Travel outside of Las Vegas to the rest of the world and most people havent seen a real Ferrari, havent seen a real Lamborghini, etc... Those that have maybe only see one here and there and still a very rare delight. So I digress again, it isnt what it is and everyone doesnt already know that. It *is* about branding and it *is* about publicity.

Stopped by the Wynn dealership over the weekend. Everyone was very nice and they let my wife and I straight in once I showed them my keys. Owners get a different color lanyard badge and the staff are very welcoming and professional. The cars on hand were terrific - particularly the 599 and Enzo FFX.

Definitely worth stopping in when you are in Vegas.

Most new built Penske stores have that tile. If you are looking to do that tile... try to visit a newly built penske store. Also, there are two alternatives to the tile as far as price. GO with the less expensive version. The priceier version tends to stain... if they sell a warranty get it. The Penske stores have redone there tile a time or two due to purchasing the expensive version only to be replaced by the less expensive synthetic version... under warranty of course :)
