Does anyone have experience with the X10 cameras and the web software that they offer so you can view them from anywhere over the internet. Would like to use it for the perimeter of my house if it works the way they say it does.

    Here is the package:

Their quality is overstated. They drop frames often, and I have trouble with radio interference. I had them up in the hills to keep an eye out for coyotes.

I've got one and think it works great for the $$. The pan one is very good. Pic is surprisingly sharp. I just hooked it up to the TV. I thought the internet thing was too invasive, plus it gets hung up with McAfee firewall. Give it a whirl though. Ebay deals are the way to go.

I just spent about $6k doing this the right way. 3megapixel streaming cameras, low lux, WAP wifi transport on dedicated networks, central server archiving securely to off-site, the works.

Now I can play back the dirty deed at the office when I get bored.

What would be the next best option aside from X-10? Mainly for a residential application.

I travel a lot and would like to be able to see what's going on.
