hi guys XDI electromotive system is this a good thing when selling a quattrovalvole or it should be all original ! good or bad it's like new blood, night & day what you guys think, I would like to know !
My evaluation of good vs bad for this modification would depend a lot on the quality of the installation -- JMO...
it is professionally installed directly over distributor covers see a small view in in best shot of your 3x8 thread

I don't mean to seem over-critical, but, IMO, the other changes (air injection system removed and exhaust header insulation removed) and the lackluster interior and underbonnet condition on this car already reduce the value to where the ignition system change doesn't make much difference. It could still be a good value as a great driver in an unusal, but attractive, color, but it's not at the high-end of the price spectrum. With regard to the aftermarket ignition installation, I like the location for the coil packs better than mounting them on the rear firewall, and that the spark plug wire routing is almost stock looking; however the thickness of the coil pack mounting plates looks a little iffy to me. This installation: Image Unavailable, Please Login has a better mounting location for the coil packs in terms of temperature and vibration, but I don't like the spark plug wire routing, and it just looks too "aftermarket" for my taste. However, your photo doesn't show the ECU, the wiring, nor the trigger wheel and trigger sensor mounting, and these would influence my opinion too. For me, the best installation is one where someone who doesn't know F couldn't tell that it was an aftermarket addition -- both of these examples do not meet that requirement IMO. (Please don't anyone take offense -- all JMOs...) PS Something about that interior on the Prugna car just looks a little mismatched to me -- can anyone confirm/deny if it is stock?
Steve, That picture you posted is my old '78 308 GTS. As to your comment about how it looks, my response is: To each his own. Personally, I liked the way it looked. Clearly it was not "stock" looking, but that really wasn't an option. I didn't like the idea of mounting the coils on the fire wall, nor did I like the mounting to the distributor locations. This seemed like the best alternative, and it worked very well from the practical point of view. The installation was clean and easy, and it worked well for me. When I sold the car, the buyer loved the way it looked. So we were good all the way around. That's my view of it. YMMV.
No worries -- completely understood. Amen -- they seem inviting locations, but both the front and rear fire walls are just too close to the exhaust headers to be used for mounting anything IMO
