Can anyone out there give me recommendations for a panel-beater specifically experienced with jag xk's? I'm in over my head with the restoration of an xk 120 ots. I should say that I am in New England and close would be better. Thanks.

I know you are in New England, but if you can get the car to Pennsylvania, I will tell you that the work Terry Lippincott does is magic.

Terry worked on my E-Type, and he also worked on another F-Chatter's Jag. While I was at his shop picking up my car, he showed me the work he did on an XK150 that looked to be about half rusted away when originally brought to him. I was shocked at how meticulous his work was.

On a Jag board, someone had posted a before / after pic of their E-Type, which had been rear ended by a SUV. I would have sworn the car was totalled, but Terry's repairs were imperceptible.

I can further say that if you are on any sort of budget (who isn't?), he's by far the best value you'll ever find. I won't quote his rates, but no one in New England would even be close, I can guarantee it.

PM me if you want his contact info. You can Google him as well - not a lot there since he doesn't have a website, but he's well respected and in the Jag community, many will testify to the quality of his work.

Our Triumph club has made a couple of trips to the Panel Shop in Stratford, CT and I was really impressed with some of the work they were doing. I don't have any first hand experience in dealing with them, but it might be worth checking out. The two guys doing the work are from England where they beat panels for Aston and Rolls. They have extensive experience with Jags.
