Just reminding myself how much I love these.

Remembering how badly I wanted one when I was younger, and am now wondering how possible it would be to have one.

I would rather have a runner with some attention needed to it, since the chance of me affording a concourse ready one is rather far off.

Anyone else love these cars as well?

    What's not to like?

I'd prefer the FHC though, but they're all a blast!

Too right, couldn't afford one when I was 17, and still can't:) without sacrifycing other toys...

As with all Jags, buy the best you can find. Restoring an XK is one hell of an excersize.

The problem is, that outside of the \UK very few people are intimate enough with the XK to see a successful restoration through. I don't know what typically an XK would demand in hours to fully restore, but it should be more than a Mk2 (1500 hours) and perhaps double that of an E.
At least, these days most panels can be bought new, if at a price, but it doesn't make the task of resoring, for instance, the nibge-boxes any easier.
