I don't prefer anything in particular, I just go sirius which is my satelite system in my new ford fusion. Its definetly nice to have (especially on road trips and in traffic) I have it free for 6 months (3-4 left) and might just subscribe.
I'm in a similar situation, but with both XM and Sirius. I have Sirius and my wife has XM. I'm hoping that current equipment will work without requiring any modifications (which I assume will be the case). With regard to price, I can't see that changing much. The proposed merger would make one much more efficient company. Subscribers should enjoy more content while the merged company operates at a lower cost structure.
Maybe I can get a deal on a family package now, since my car has XM and my girlfriend's has Sirius. I like XM a lot more, but Sirius does have some good channels.
The best thing about satellite radio is that you can't see Howard Stern. The best thing about XM radio is that you can't see or hear Howard Stern. Also- Are we going to have to reprogram our favorites? There must be some duplication in channels, numbers etc.
No, I do NOT mention Howard Stern alot. Are you kidding me!
