I have Sirius in the car and I use Live365 in my office and at home. I find Live365 (even though its internet not sat) to be far superior to both Sirius and XM.

Sirius subscriber for ~3 years.... never listen to local radio except for the odd occasion when I'm traveling and the rental car doesn't have sat radio.

I used to have XM in a number of cars. I sold one of my cars and canceled my subscription...but somehow XM still was charging me for it and when I called in I told them the situation and the woman I talked to said I still had to pay for it...so I then talked to the manger and he said I still had to pay for the charges so I told them to cancel all of my XM subscriptions (had about 3 at the time...+1 in a car I no longer owned)….

Now all I have is Sirius in my S-Class...and I really like it; it is great for long drives...they have pretty decent talk and comedy channels. I only listen to satellite in the Merc and then in my other cars I just listen to regular local radio.

I have Sirius internet radio that I use at work. I got a radio for my car but it was a huge PITA to install, so I never actually used it (sitting in a box at work still). I want to get a Stiletto I think but it's $$$, and my commute is only 20 minutes or so anyway.

I have heard TONS of stories about XM refusing to stop billing people. If you do a web search on it, you will see sites dedicated to this. Also, on the Corvette Forum where the cars come with XM Radios, the general consensus is to pay with a check so they can't keep billing you, because they always do.

I have XM. I live near Austin, TX, where local radio SUCKS. It is better than FM in this area, but I really wonder if Sirius would be better. I find myself flipping through the stations nonstop. I like oldies/classic rock. It's kind of weird to hear some jammin' classic rock followed by George Michael. I also listen to CNN, but it's just an audio broadcast of the TV network. It's weird to hear an anchor talk about "what you see here". I'm really wondering what the Sirius/XM merger will bring.

I have not heard of Live 365. I'll have to look into that.

+1...since installing Sirius, I haven't listened to local radio. Once you experience commercial free radio, you cannot go back.

Just as a random note for those who have Sirius.... My Corvette didn't come w/ sat radio so I have the kit for car installation, the antenna it came with worked pretty well but one day it broke and at the time none of the shops in my area (West TX) had the car antenna on hand. Just for the sake of experimentation I bought the "Monster" home antenna kit which has a much heavier co-ax cable and larger antenna. The reception is awesome now, rarely lose signal unless it's in a tunnel, reception is fine even when my car is in the garage and it hides away under the plastic skin of the Vette. I usually use the internet stream for in house listening but I got another Monster antenna and didn't even bother sticking it outside, antenna sits on the cabinet next to the radio.

Sirius for me. Been with then since the day Howard started. Only times I listen to regular radio are the rare occasions I'm in the wifes car. (And leave wanting to push icepicks in my ears!) Wish the mergber would hurry the F up so I can get MLB. Plus Sirius has the live feed from the British crew(BBC,ITV?) for F1 races!

now see, I have both also. We have XM in my Cadillac STS and Sirius in my wife's Town & Country. I like XM much better as I have never really been a Howard Stern fan. The Sirius works really wellin the van as we get Sirius TV for our daughter who can watch cartoon network and Nick on the backseat. I do listen to some terestrial radio as there is a local morning show that I like. But I never listen to regular radio after 10 am.

I think the local rock station in Austin is great. Everytime I'm in or passing through they play great songs.

Never have, and don't think I ever will pay for radio. I either listen to talk radio (sports) or mp3 in the car.

my dad's got xm in his car, he's had it for about 3 or so years, i like it because it comes with every mlb game, which is always a fun thing. when i'm using his car, i rarely listen to it unless there's a ballgame on, but it sure was nice going on road trips, not having to search for stations, but driving through chicago a couple years back it would go in and out of service because of the buildings, that's the main downside for me. when i get my next car, i'd like to get either xm or sirius, but i still want to see what will happen with the merger.

I'm an 80s child, Xm has a poor excuse for older new wave, or alternative compared to Sirius, plus the commercials on xm really piss me off.. I am paying for NO commercials :)

    I personally hate Howard Stern..

I have Sirius and my 1 year free subcription just ended for my Jeep radio. I ended up renewing for the lifetime subscription. Seemed like the break even point was 3.5 years. It can be transferred to another radio for $75 when I sell the Jeep.

I just wished Siruis had baseball.

In small doses 93.7 is OK. I can't stand morning shows, however, and holy crap I get tired of Pink Floyd songs with instrumentals that just drag on forever.

I've had XM satellite radio for about a year and I love it!!! It is absolutely great on long trips (especially driving thru the boondocks of VA and West VA  ) when you just want to listen to anything other than country music  ....
