Ok now... Let's all take guesses on who Steinbrenner fires 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Brian Cashman (A Darien, CT resident) will definitely be one of the 3.
Joe Torre, maybe, I doubt it... but maybe.
    ???? I'm all ears fellas!!

Absolutely great series and the Sox did it the hard way, from down 3-0 and the last two games in Yankee Stadium.

This has to be the most humiliating loss ever for the Yankees, maybe for any team.

Growing up in the Boston area I will always have first allegiance to the Sox, but after 20 plus years in NYC/CT, I've grown to appreciate the Yankees, especially Cashman (member of my church and both he and his wife Mary are very nice and down to earth) and Joe Torre.

I was disappointed that Torre and not one of the Yankees interviewed after the game said anything at all about the play or accomplishment of the Sox in coming back to win. I don't care if the Yankees feel that they lost it rather than the Sox won it, good sportsmanship would call for something complimentary about their opponents. Definitely showed a lack of class.

    Go Sox!

    Believe!

    Reverse the Curse!

    unf***ing believeable.
I will give it to the sox, they had heart and wanted it more. I really hope they get their @$$es handed to them in the world series.

My favorite part of winning is making Sheffield look like an Idiot, He went 0-4 last night and it was his comment from this weekend that was put up all over the Sox's Clubhouse that I think motivated them. Doubt he is to popular with his teammates right now

Sheffield told USA Today's Bob Nightengale that the Red Sox were ``a walking disaster. They act like they're tough, how they care so much about winning, but it's all a front. They're just a bunch of characters.''

Sheffield also told Nightengale, ``They know what we're all about. We can still beat them, and they know it. Let's see what they do this time when it counts.''

That was a old quote, not said duing this series. Pitching was the Yanks downfall, as has been the last several years. Great pitching always stops great hitters. As I said in the NY thread, hats off to the red sox, they kept plugging away. IMO, it is the most humilliating loss for the Yanks.

And probably the biggest win in Sox History. Saw a stat at the beginning of the game that said in the last 70 games, including post season between the Yanks and Sox they were knotted up 35-35, That is amazing. Looking forward to starting it up again next year.

Seems that the actual World Series could actually take a back seat to the ALCS, in terms of excitement.

Matter of fact, Red Sox's 4th win is the historical win. I read it in a newspaper that no team has ever made come back to win after losing 3 straight games first.

By the time I started watching the game on TV, the game was already 8-3. K. Brown may not be able to stay in Yankees next season... (I still root for him as he was good for Rangers) The fury of Steinbrenner must be scary right now!
