I can't wait for their broadcast coverage this Sunday... yippee! ...... At least Ferrari looked good in practice.
Yep, but I believe Monaco and the USGP are all that are left for CBS to adulterate. (Still too many, though!)
If I had any patience I would wait a week for the speed coverage, but there's no way I'll last. Perhaps with enough beer and seafood it could be OK... I think I'll try this.
This will be great, I will finally learn how many times Schumacher has been world champion? Haven't you guys always wanted to know that?
I believe it was Churchill who is quoted as saying that as a young man he made it a rule never to have a strong drink before lunch. As he grew older, this became 'never before breakfast'. Well I may not be old, but I don't know how else I am going to get through this race without employing the Churchill philosophy. As long as there is SOME coffee in with the Bailey's, it is still coffee right? In all seriousness, the FIA should put an end to this. CBS should be taken before a World Tribune and tried for its crimes against humanity. - Chris
Yuk, Redneck Sheheen is going to annouce MONACO?!!! Why not get a professional wrestler to announce, probably the same amount of class.......... BTW for those that may not know, Speed always broadcasts their own coverage of every race later, sometimes a week later, just watch the schedule. I watch at least portions of Speed's coverage (especially the pre and post race shows) and it always feels like home. CBS's coverage is horrible.
Hopefully some Chinese station will air it live tomorrow morning for me to watch. For some reason none of them did on the last CBS broadcast so I had to "watch" Live Timing. It was surprisingly exicting watching Live Timing.
CBS needs to stick to March Madness, leave F1 to Speed. There is nothing greater than getting up early on a Sunday to watch it live! CBS is gonna destroy Monaco.
I really don't think SPEED and its NASCAR coverage is any worse than CBS. I think they both need to go. I wish I could get a european satelite feed.
i little something is better than alot of nothing. at least it gets f1 into markets it otherwise wouldn't reach.
I *LOVE* the fact that CBS airs the GP. I can't stand Daly and his idiotic blabbering. Ralph is fine though. I wish Sam Posey would come back for the CBS broadcasts. I miss hearing "MAY-laysia" and "Meesh-i-lin. But speaking of ITV....can anyone get that in the States? Now that Murray Walker is retired, maybe ITV's coverage is tolarable (Couldn't stand listening to Murray..ugh.)
I remember the day when the only racing on TV was delayed Indy 500 coverage, and snippets of the Daytona 500 and Monaco shown on ABC's Wide World of Sports. I miss Jim McKay, Chris Schenkel and Chris Economaki. ANY F1 racing on TV is good, just do what I do - tune out the announcers in the same way you tune out commercials, just be deaf to them... Whatever happened to ESPN's Larry Nuber and John Bisignano (sp?)
i also wanted to know how many laps they think everyone will run, based on a magic 8 ball! i'll still watch it
Noon EDT on the CBS affiliate in DCmetro. I think CBS has Spain, Monaco, and Silverstone, and then Speed channel has the rest. CBS at least has been trying to copy Speed Channel's format, right down to the "story line" segments. But too much of Monaco is spent looking at the boats in the harbor instead of the race. I expect much of Sunday's "coverage" to be about a Spanish Champion instead of the race. And I have no idea why CBS wanted the British GP. After last year, I can see why they didn't want the USGP.
Today during qualifyng on SpeedTV, they showed a CBS broadcast time for the Spanish GP of 1 PM. So is it noon or 1 PM?
