This 599 was parked outside my hotel in Doha, Qatar............. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Have seen it in real life (this car) last year in august iirc. The color is actually a stunner if you don't mix it with light interior. How are you Tarek?
That is a nice car, but not the colour I would choose personally. But, kudos to the owner for being different.
I would personally take one, although its not my favorite. My main 2 choices would be Black or Silver though. I would save Giallo Modena for an F430 Chris
Yellow/black 6 speed would be fine with me.... Reminds me to buy a LOTTO ticket on the way home tonight...LOL! Thanks for the post T.!!!!!
Awesome spot, Tarek...! Did you get the serial number...? There aren't too many spotters in the Middle East.
Tarek- I love that color on the 599. Just like my Fly Yellow 1970 Daytona from 30 years ago. Had two yellow Z06 Corvettes, too. Taz Terry Phillips
I love yellow 599's. when i see them it just makes me think about yellow 275 gtb's...and who doesnt think those are gorgeous.
Falken- I remember an ad in Autoweek for a yellow 275 GTB/4 with air conditioning (who knows?) for $7000 in about 1975. But I wanted a Dino 246 GT. Got the Dino, but fouled up royally, as it turns out, on my selection. Unbelievably, in those days, I did not find the 275 GTBs attractive. Same year, Kirk F White had a 250 LM for sale for $9800. So I paid $10,600 for a Dino 246 GT. Hindsight is sometimes not a good thing. Should have called Ed Niles for advice. Taz Terry Phillips
Here are some pics/prices that you may find interesting Taz! Prices are in Aussie dollars in 1968, 1970 and 1980. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pap- Right you are. I will have to see if I can dig up any of the tax-free export prices from back then. Unbelievably low. No waiting lists then, either. Taz Terry Phillips
Didn't get the serial number Carbon............I promise I'll get it for you next time I'm in Doha. The car was almost parked on a daily basis outside the hotel, so I will definitely see it again.
