A professional wouldn't have been wrong. A professional would also have the resources to determine what the car was. Listen more, and don't jump to conclusions.

Thank you, I never considered myself as a professional I only said I was a UNOFFICIAL bentley expert, just like a ferrari guy would be able to point out the exact options on a ferrari.

Are you something blue? Do you have four corners? Is it found in the day or night? Is it the size of a loaf of bread?

How many more questions do I get?

No, see user name for clarificaiton.

I sit in a padded room with 4 corners. Actually 8, but wait, actually, 16.

    "It" has never been proven.

No, but if you're such an expert, self proclaimed or not, people who don't know you to be who you are may actually take what you say into consideration.

Technically, it's a Continental T Mulliner Widebody. Bentley built it, as previously stated, for the 2000 Paris show but they built it to showcase their capability for bespoke options. Monaco Yellow is a finish they still offer though few choose it. Personally I would not have chosen it for my Conti T, however it doesn't IMO look deplorable as some say. Magnolia is perhaps one of the most popular of all Rolls/Bentley finishes (my G-parents Last of Line series Seraph is magnolia) and most think, myself included, that it's drop-dead gorgeous. Magnolia has a subtle trace of yellow in it. Anyway, that's tangential.
Although was Vik was hyperbolizing out his ass [as usual], the yellow Conti T is not for everyone. Although, it looks miles better than a yellow Azure or Arnage.
As a side note, the Continental T Mulliners were and are still the baddest Bentleys made; I hope the '08 Brooklands will continue that vein.

Someone help please? I thought the "T"s were the widebody cars, and the "R"s were narrow... what is the difference?

Edit: Oh, and is the SC based off the Continental T or R?

T's are the widebodys, but though this is a Widebody and modified by Mulliner, it was not speced by a customer but rather internally done by BMI. So, the build sheet list it as a Continental T, not a T Mulliner. Widebody is never used by Bentley to describe a car.

This was the only Continental T made in 2000 that was not modified by Mulliner. There were 5 modified by Mulliner in 2000 and they are called, Continental T Mulliner, where as the car listed above is not. Thats my point. As well, there were 2 cars modified by Mulliner in 99 and 20 something in 2001...etc etc.etc...

For 1, they never put "Widebody" badges on the cars, whether they were Widebody or not. I don't know why it doesn't have a "Mulliner" badge on it since it obviously used extensive Mulliner enhancements, i.e. Bespoke paint, Mulliner wing-vents, twin-dual exhaust... The difference between the Ts and Rs were mainly about 3 things: wheelbase, powerplant, and interior fitments. The Rs had a 124.5in wheelbase, the Ts had a 120.5in. The Conti SC (which are ridiculously cool and crazy rare) were based on the Ts chassis and wheelbase but oddly enough used the R's engine unless it was the Mulliner version of the SC in which case it used the T engine. Weird. The engine case in either is the 6.75l turbo V8, but somehow it made 400hp in the R and 426hp in the T Mulliner, 619 torque in the R and 650 in the T. 80% of that torque in either model if available around the 1100-1500 rpm range. Bliss. I don't know exactly what they did to exact this effect but that is the difference. The T also has a deeper, fuller exhaust note. Frightening actually. Interiors were vastly different in the R and Ts. A well-trained eye should almost be able to just look at an interior pic and know if it's an R or T. The Rs had an interior much like an Azure, monotone leather with just maybe piping or stitching at most, loads of wood on the dash, console, steering wheel, etc... The T's interiors were more often than not 2-tones, sportier. The dashes were engine-turned aluminium (as they say) with chrome-finished instrument clusters/bezels. Also the wheel arches front and rear were extended, more pronounced. I'm sure there are more changes, but that's what I know off my head. Josh

    Thanks Josh!

I knew the word "widebody" never actually appeared on the car, but thought it was a determining factor in which model the car is. I never knew about the wheelbase.

Very informative. Thanks again. Oh, and you're very right... the SCs are AMAZING!

good catch there matey where were they? I remember when the car came up for sale a couple of years ago they had interior shots and it had yellow stitching and piping but I didnt save them :( it had walnut dash and and the engine turned aluminum on the gauges console and the center console I had a crack at buying it to add to the collection and was commited to but then shipping and luxury car tax and sexy car tax and above year 2000 car tax racked up the price to much one of the bad things about living in Australia

    A. I don't see how you call yourself an expert when you aren't even old enough to use the specific thing you claim to be an expert of.

    B. I happen to be offended by your discriminatory comments and generalizations so please refrain from posting further remarks.

Now onto the original topic. I think the car looks quite good under certain lighting. At night I am sure it would certainly be stunning. It's true that the Continental GT doesn't look that great but the original car looks MUCH better.

PS. It's going to be interesting to see how the fact that your father is regional something or other is going to creep into this discussion.
