Hello, Anybody know anything about the Yellow Daytona on eBay? I know it's been for sale for a while which usually means there is a story that goes with it? I'm actually still looking for a nice 330GTC but if the price/car is right, I'd step up to a Daytona. Thanks.
Looks like my old Daytona 14009 (15 Dec 1970) and they were probably on the assembly line at the same time. Missing the air cleaner, which I would want to have, and the seat belts are four point Simpsons. Stock would be better. Brake master cylinder is a later replacement. Could not tell for sure if the car was never fitted with headrests or if they are missing. I thought they were standard by then, but could be wrong. I think I can see one of the holes for the headrests on the passenger's side seat. Mine had them. MSD after market CD units or pointless ignition. Not a bad thing for a driver. You can upgrade to the AEC box with modern guts later. The price is good, but this is a car you really want an expert to examine to look for rust and things which are missing, need replacing, or non-standard. A bondo meter would be a good thing to run over the entire car. Sure looks pretty. Mine was yellow, too. Taz Terry Phillips
