Seeking Help: Issues with the Alarm System of My Ferrari 612

I have read various discussions on this matter and diligently followed the recommendations provided. I have replaced the siren with a new one and had the car's display inspected and tested by a professional company. My dealer suggested that there might be sensor problems in the display, but this has turned out not to be the case.

In an effort to avoid high expenses at the dealership, I'm reaching out to you for assistance.

Every time I start my Ferrari, I receive the message "Alarm Failure - Go to the dealer."

When locking my Ferrari with the windows open and inserting my arm inside, the hazard lights flash, and a break-in attempt is indicated. So far, everything seems to be functioning correctly.

It starts up fine as well.

However, as you probably suspect, there is an issue.

There is no audible signal upon locking, and the siren does not activate.

    Conversely, the error message persists.

I feel lost and uncertain about what to do next.

Thank you all for your contributions in resolving this problem.

    Best regards, Ramon

When you plug in the siren, did it chirp? Have you tested any of the wiring for the siren? Is it a Ferrari siren? I know Corvette sirens are similar but take different circuitry to function. Just throwing stuff out there to see what sticks.

It concerns a genuine Ferrari siren, and it did not emit a sound signal when I connected it. As a result, I now need to inspect the entire system to confirm whether the sound signal should indeed be sounding.

I'm currently consulting the manual, but do I also need to separately check if the siren has its own fuse ? It's not immediately clear to me.

Regarding the immobilizer, it's functioning perfectly fine.

You have a failed inclination sensor. Common failure.

The dealer also indicates that, as well as the error code.

    Where is this sensor located?

    Thank you for your response.

It is in the console above your head that contains the dome lamp and the button to disable the inclination sensor.

This has consistently been my thought. An electronics company has inspected it and indicated that it is not faulty.

I'm not certain whether these sensors are available for individual purchase.

The sensor is purchased as part of the overhead console. If your getting the code there are only two options. there is an error on the bus line which would result in many more errors or the sensor is bad which we see several times a year in the 612 and Quatroporte which have the same parts and architecture.
Sounds like your electronics company can diagnose it for you.

Part number is 217950 and it will be paint to match

Would a failed inclination sensor prevent the alarm from chirping or sounding the full alarm? Why would it do that? My 612 seems to have the same symptoms as the OP. I've been thinking until now that my siren just has dead batteries, which seems to be common. Is there an easy way to differentiate between failed siren batteries vs the overhead console sensors? I don't have easy access to an SD, but I have a X431 and Autel AP200...will either of those be useful in this case? Thank you.

Thank you for the tip. Maserati has the same display. But it's much easier to find.

Is this easy to convert, do you know?

And my Ferrari was built in 2004, are all types the same?

Thank you, I will run a scan tomorrow. Would a faulty inclination sensor (or ultrasound sensor) cause the siren to not chirp? It seems odd to me that it would. Thanks again.

A quick scan with my X431 indicates my alarm siren has failed. All other system components report good. It appears the 612's siren, part number 201541 is NLA. Eurospares' website indicates that PN 201541 has been superseded by PN 295120 from the California (and possibly other models). Would PN 295120 be a drop-fit for my 612? Would any re-learn or proxy alignment be required in that case? I'd rather not buy the new siren only to find it does not work in the 612. Thank you.

Unbleable. Tried everything and had it taken through. Ordered a new battery last weekend. Was already 5 years old. When disassembling, there was a small thread at the - pool that was loose. Made again and what do you think.... The Alarm is working again and no more notification in my display. So enthusiasts check at the - pol off the battery if the thread is stuck. This would also often occur with the Ferrari 550 Image Unavailable, Please Login
