Replica Kit Makes Pontiac Fiero SE | eBay

Ive seen two of these kits this week on ebay, one didn't sell, I wonder why?

But I gotta give the seller credit for bringing up the history of a real BB512 and going so far as to give auction results! Dont imagine it'll get the desired effect but I give them an A for effort.

It almost looks like it should have a kids helmet sticking out through the sunroof and a briggs and stratton engine because of its proportions.

I have to protest that calling that a "clone" is an insult to clones ;) (which usually have the same powerplant as the original -- just not the provenance).

"(poor) Replica"? - more OK with that description...

Steve, are you saying that if you bought a sheep clone you would be disappointed that it turned out to be a rat with horns, lol!

I apologize :) Replica or perhaps tribute is better because its not really replicating a boxer

A guy showed up at Summit Pt raceway a few years back at a Ferrari of Washinton track day. He had a newer MR2 with all kinds of Ferrari badges on it. And a red Ferrari racing suit.

I'm tempted to buy this for our next FCA meeting. At least I wouldn't catch grief for driving a Lambo.

It looks like good craftsmanship, I'm kind of impressed; but will never understand putting that time and effort into fake.

I don't get how people pour so much money in to the looks of the car, but then leave the running gear stock? Makes no sense to me.

Its a Chev SB V8 which was never stock on a fiero.

More a question of why spend all that dosh in the first place, you could probably buy a used Z06 for the same money.

I guess peopel like to build and create. The project is where the fun is for them.

Yea, there is a guy here in OKC that has a Fiero/F40 "tribute"? It looks kind of cool from 100 yards, he brings it to C&C every once in a while (on a trailer) so I don't think it runs. It's had a ton of work put into it, it's his money and time. Not my cup o' tea, but too each his own.

Yeah the second one has a Chevy small block in there; I was referring to the original post and most of the 'kit/replica makes...' Ferraris on eBay that I see.
