    BTW.. I was there for the unveiling and maybe it was the Blonde's fault towards the end...but I was never offered nor did I see any Design Prints being handed out to anyone. I did get one during the 599 preview so I was expecting something... just never saw anything!


    Did anyone else get one?

    So what are you going to do with these numbers? OK, so this is a rare Cali serial number but who cares when in 2 years time theres going to be 5,000-6,000 more?

    Yes, I was told it will have an option of manual 6 or F1 7speed dual clutch.

    Other options, no kidding, included the rear folding seats pending DOT approval, and cup holders.

    another "First" is standard Cruise Control!

    Let me give you an example. A while back, a friend of mine calls me up. Says he's come across a Ferrari for sale and wants to buy it - CarFax says it's clean. He gives me the serial number, asks me if I know anything about the car. I tell him everything I've got - which included an accident. The guy trying to sell him the car told him it had never been in an accident, and that the car's paint was original. Meanwhile, it was a completely different color altogether.

    Another example. A guy calls me up a couple of years ago, says he's interested in an Enzo for sale in Las Vegas. I ask for the serial number, he says "it's 134282". So I stop in my tracks - because that's my favorite car of all time. I tell him the car is not for sale - it's not even located in Vegas; it's a scam and he should just forget the whole thing. He pursues the sale. He goes to Vegas, never sees the car, never sees the seller - because it's not really for sale. A wasted trip, wasted time - a scam.

    Example three - well, you get the point. :)

    Clarence, this is confirmed...? It will definitely be available with a stick...?

    That was exactly what the Ferrari Rep told us as I sat in the car making spedracer sounds behind the wheel.

    But you know Ferrari... you never know till its physically parked in your garage!

    Ill keep you posted.. "Someone" you know ;) is currently on the early delivery list! Its not me, but As soon as it can be spec'd ill "Confirm" it. Of course by that time im sure it will be public knowledge.

    There is also another unveiling event coming up where im sure more "Official" details will be released.

    My life is a messy collage of shoddily-written stories - all colorful, all cool. Some scribbled in crayon, some slowly stroked in No. 2 graphite; some even violently sprawled across loose leaf in black ink. This evening, I gazed across an Antinori-tinted glass at a lady so classy, it exuded from her pores. It's one of the more interesting stories, thumb-tacked to the cork board that is my soul's canvas - one, of course, that will never be officially written. But it rivals the time I sheathed myself in broken latex and gave myself to another who was so coked up, I got high just from being close to her. And I'm still dressed this evening. You know what I mean.

    In the sweeping gray fields that are the in-between, I do this serial number thing 'cause it interests me. :)

    Does anyone know what the price will be or is for the California in the US?
    I was in italy a few weeks ago and I heard over there it is Euro 170,000.00, which would correspond to $ 250,000.00 roughly, over here, but prices across the Atlantic are seldom a simple conversion of currencies.
