Hey all- been awhile-went through this same ? with my Boxer, but now have a F355 Spyder on its way and there are several opinions out there from respected members...Capistro, X-host, Tubi, Ansa.....etc....

I understand it's a matter of opinion, but been to you tube a few times and the Tubi sounds like the nuts IMO...but can I hear from a few of you 355 veterans?? do I need the headers and all, or just the mufflers??

    preciate it.....Frank

maybe a used set from someone??

Tubi or go home. Run test pipes or the Hyper Flows and then watch out. What exhaust did you put on your Boxster, also did you delete one set of cats on that?

Have to agree with gothspeed. I have a Capristo leve III on mine and I love it. Great sound all through the rev range, but at high revs it is as close to F1 as I have heard. I have stock headers and cats.

hey gq--actually didn't hear any that sounded light years better, so the guys at Norwood beaded the factory set up clean---has no cats so sounds pretty good........also, remember it's Boxer, no t in there....

assume Hyperflow is some sort of performance cat? do I need the fancy headers? sounds like maybe just the muffler and test pipes would do the trick...maybe around 3k? or so

ok boys....what's the tab on that setup? and level 2 or 3?? which is the most
    endearing to the neighbors (sarcasm)?

    thanks for the input....

I was in my 993 TT last year cruising along minding my own business when I heard the most unbelievable sound ever, and when the dust settled it was a 355 spyder at full throttle....I needed a moment alone after that....my kraut-mobile is wicked fast and a sheer pleasure to drive, but It'll never sound like that.....coulda been a tubi or capistro...I looked at the capistro set for the boxer and the quality seems unsurpassed.

well, I want to bring out all I can..my 993TT just can't produce that kind of sound, for that matter neither can my Boxer....so I guess I want to bring people to their knees with tears in their eyes...or something like that

I bet you my set up would bring people to their knees and still out preform the rest. Tubi, name and sound. Capristo, I love them. Never had one but I think they are engineered great. Kreissieg, not recommended nor advised, they are having problems with the law right now in Japan. GruppeM in my opinion is where it is at. Sound files when I am done. A little higher pitch then an MS Racing and in low RPMs is a little higher then the rest.

I have the Tubi with test pipes and the bypass valve has been eliminated and replaced by the challenge straight pipe. I have been told by many that it is the best sounding Ferrari they have ever heard.
