The market will decide how many are "too many". Fchat doesn't have to worry about competition, at the moment.

It's odd to see how many people, lately, fear "too many choices". There are no guarantees that your choice will be the One True Choice -- people differ. So there are choices that may be right for you -- and only you can decide which choice that is. Taking away choice means that nobody gets what's right for them.

"Too many choices" rapidly becomes an argument against Ferraris, by those who just drive Hondas, Camrys, or Explorers, "like everyone else".

There's a difference between "egalitarianism" and "hiding in the middle of the herd".

What the majority believes isn't always "Truth" -- remember that there was a time when everyone thought the earth was flat.

    "Save the Different Drummer!!" ;)

Not sure how it can be labeled a copycat, it has been around since 2001 and has 19 guides some written by users of this site. all car sites use this forum software btw.

FerrariChat.com has been around longer than all of those. Ferrari List was around before FerrariChat, but it was an email list.

    why bring this up?

You have been a user for half a year, only 7 posts and 4 of those were providing links to other Ferrari sites.

True, most chat sites use the PHPBB software as their underlying technology. As you know though, the key difference is the content of what is posted and the people in the community that visit the site.

To use an analogy, to say "all car sites use this forum software" is like saying all restaurants use pots and pans to make their food.
