I am replacing a cracked fuel pump cover on my 456. The OEM green seal/gasket is mangled and the 456 PN 126835 is relatively hard to come by (as you know).

I accidentally ordered a 575/599 seal/gasket (PN 181681), which has "rounded" edges as compared to the 456/550 seal which has "squared" edges.

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE 575/599 is retro-compatible to be used on my 456? Many thanks!

Also, was curious if anyone knows the commercial name of the black shiny, rigid tubing used to connect the fuel pump itself to the plastic cover. I've already replaced the other RUBBER hose with ethanol resistant rubber tubing...but this is the other hose, presumably one that is rigid enough not to collapse under pressure. I'd like to have a spare length of that around just in case and did not know what company makes it or what it's called (product wise, raw material for purchase at an auto parts supplier)

    Thanks again. wp

    Willie_Paul,
Did you ever get this sorted out? I am getting ready to do the 456 pump and cover. Any recommendations or pointers?
    Thanks in advance.
