Between the cruise-in on Tuesday and the Olivetti's gathering on the weekend, next weel looks pretty well stocked with car events... But, if you just can't get enough of fine Italian automobiles and/or you can't make those events, here's another option, on Thursday:

On Thursday, August 18, the Chicago Alfa Romeo Owners' Club is having a car show/cruise-in at Cafe Roma, 7230 W. College Dr., Palos Heights, IL. That's right by the corner of College Dr. (Route 83) and Harlem (Route 43). Besides an amazing array of Alfas, we're also expecting some interesting Ferrari and Maserati specimens. F-Chatters welcome! Last year this event was really great, and people are pulling out the stops to make this year even better. Here's a link to the official announcement:

I meant to give more notice of this; sorry. Hope to see you there!

Italians don't live by a clock..it's whenever they show up.
This way they are always on time..

    Thanks.

Not the ones in the factory: They know precisely what time lunch break starts. Ever wondered why the waiting list on Ferraris is so long?

Well, it's a fairly informal show---it'll start when people show up and end when they leave, but this is also the monthly club meeting and that starts at 7:00, so it should be underway by then. It will probably peak some time between 7:00 and 8:00, and most people will probably stick around till 9:30 or 10:00. (This is based on how it went last year.)
