This looks like an ECU problem or a short in the wiring harness. I have seen a number of harnesses with wear through to the wires.

Hi Skid. That is what is making most sense to me (with my very limited knowledge)

The issue is so spazzy and erratic that to me it seems somewhat electrical and not mechanical.

The thing I really don't get is why the heck the car isn't communicating, at the very least, the fact it's patently running rich as hell. Like what is going on with those sensors and that reporting???

I get there may "not have been enough" misfires (I mean, I've probably felt about 20 in about 8 miles / half hour of driving) but cmon, surely the o2 sensors should be sensing something isn't right here??

Unless the car is telling me the ECU(s) have basically just stopped communicating?

In terms of checking wiring "intactness" is this something a sparky can do..? Checking for continuity (or whatever the technical term is) or are we ripping out carpets and essentially ripping all the wiring out to inspect?

In my head I'd quite like it if someone could attempt to diagnose anything electrical in my drive, or is that not realistic?

Sorry but my first bet is on the ECU. There has been several instances of these having issues. Look in some threads by Trev and you will see them discussed.

Wiring is NEVER easy to diagnose. Fortunately, the CAN bus is fairly immune to a grounded wire (skipping technical reason). If I were looking, I would start by getting the covers off behind the seats and looking at the wiring harness for abrasion. If you find anything it is usually easy to fix just unwrap it, tape it up, and wrap it again (almost never a broken wire). BUT, I would still start with the ECU.

Thanks for that I'll check this next. I might take photos to see if anyone else sees something suspect.

I had some kind of idea though..

How about I try a full ecu reset. What would these three outcomes perhaps tell me:

    - nothing changes at all (misfires from cold idle and straight away driving)

    - the condition seems to "go away" for more than say 10 miles

    - the condition vanishes completely

Please can someone elucidate what these different outcomes may suggest?

    Thanks!

Rosso - why don't you take your car to a supercar specialist, and get it sorted out once and for all by someone who knows what they're doing? There are several in the North West where you said you live; one of them will find a way of helping you.
Alternatively - if you really do own what appears to be the most troublesome Ferrari on the forum, it might be worth calling it a day and moving it on. Start again.

I would really question the brain function of someone that thinks

    A) taking a car to a specialist for repair in a lockdown is actually even halfway viable? Believe me, I have asked. But most are either not operating or busy as hell

    B) it will be a perfectly elementary process to just sell a high-end sports car (with issues) in the middle of both a pandemic and a financial slowdown

    I'll just leave that there

I believe in the Immo Off thread or the SAC thread, Trev said he can reset an ECU to factory default.
