Posting a new thread with title for easy search.

Thanks in part to the advice of this forum, I got my new wheels! Yokohama (Advan) AVS T5. 20"x10J on the back and 19"x8.5 on the front. Offsets match the stock 456 perfectly. Tires that fit the 20" are Micheline PS or Hankook, but the Hankook weren't available in the right size, so I had to spring the extra $400 or so.

A 12.5mm spacer on the back would push the width out to match the extra half inch on the front, but some threads in this forum had people saying they were happy without filling out the rear, so I thought I'd give it a try without, first.

What does Fchat think? Here's pics, with before and after for reference!

    Awesome!

They look great on your car. :)
I think that the spacers in the rear will make the car look more aggressive.

    Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Personally, I would go for Hill Engineering 25 mm Type 2 spacers back there. You have a whole lot of empty wheel well, but other than that, the wheels look great. They look like 430 wheels, except wider in the front.

Look at Tex's postings with 10.5" rear wheels and 25 mm spacers and you will see what I mean.

    Hi

Nice wheels, but Terry's right, you have to go with other spacers.

    For reference..

    They are:

    Wheels: Yokohama (Advan) AVS T5.
    Rear 10-20+25 5/108
    Front 8.5-19+38 5/108

    Tyres: Michelin PS2
    Rear 295/25R20
    Front 255/35R19

I don't know where you'd get them.. Wheel Warehouse sells them but they are special order and take a few weeks to arrive. They were relatively cheap, here.. ~$900 each with taxes, but they are made in Japan so may cost you more. Imported wheels cost a fortune here! I paid a premium for the tires, you could probably get Hankook cheaper in the same size.

Rob- Old fart here. Not too fond of black wheels. Wheels are one of the highlights on a car. In most cases, black wheels just disappear and you cannot even see them unless you are 10' away. Some love them and some hate them. Matter of personal taste.

Show some photos and I am sure some will be interested.

Me too. I typically am not a fan of black wheels but I did park next to a black Bentley lately that looked great with them on. The car was driven by David E. Davis, Jr. for the Ferrari on the Vine event in Williamsburg, VA. Full thread is here:

Here is the pic of DED Jr.'s black Bentley (my blue 550 is on the far side):
