I believe discontinued. Have not seen anyone selling them. I searched because I could care less about Pirellis.....because they could care less about us owners.
I have a brand new set of (4) in the Pereilli brand.. Have some used early ones as well..but NOT for street use..show and display only IMO to old date coded... Roy
I was at Pirelli's specialist tyre factory in Turkey last week and they were in the process of making a new batch of Countach tyres. Around 300 sets as I understand, so availability of new Pirellis in that size shouldn't be a problem. Here in the UK, Longstone Tyres can supply 345/35x15 rears in 48hrs, so I can't see why it should be any different in the US. Whilst at the factory I also saw new sets of LM002 tyres being produced. Now those are a rare sight..
I really really want 205 and know they won't make them for the front. So, what's more important, correct tire name or correct size? Because as I have stated above, Pirelli is what should be on there but I'd rather have the correct size front.
They quit making them at least 10 years ago, maybe even longer Chadbourn Bolles 803 532 6257 803 798 3044 cell [email protected]
Take the Pirelli PZero, available world wide and the OEM Countach tyres: why do you want those japanese tyres? ciao
Also ANYBODY that has some and is willing to sell them to you, you should AVOID. Reason, unless you are just using them for show, they ARE NOT ROAD WORTHY, IN ANY WAY. You SHOULD NEVER use a tire on a Car like a Countach that is 10 or more years out of date. Chadbourn Bolles 803 532 6257 803 798 3044 cell [email protected]
There is a strong demand for a 345/35-15 tires and no manufacturer makes it anymore? This doesn't make sense. Or maybe I was srong... 100 sets doesn't necessarily meet the required minimum.
Alberto, that would be my thinking. But, am I missing something? Did Pirelli not make a bunch of these with date codes as recently as 2011, and are they not available for the asking from Longstone and on the open market? I'm reacting to the notion in the thread that these have not been available for 10 years. One does not have to be an FBI agent to find these, a few clicks and you can find them out there. FWIW - I do not have any tires to sell. Just joining in the conversation and making suggestions. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I had the Yokohama AVS tires on my Countach, but replaced them last year after I found out the date codes on the AVS tires were 11 years old! Hated to do it, since I still had about 70% of the tread left! I put the Pirelli P-Zero's on it.
Joe, the Yokohama AVS have not been make in ten years not the Pirelli's. The Pirelli can still be had although it can be difficult to find freshly dated ones at times.
I understand Pirelli made some this year ie 2012 and are currently available. I agree entirely with Chad, that if the tyres are over 10 years old and used, then you wouldnt want them on your car unless it was just for display and not driving. The Pirelli's allegedly have a life of 5 years before should be replaced. As most of these cars are not driven to max in the straight or corners, then life may not have been too hard on the tyres. However, If you want to go 100mph plus often, then I would want good safe tyres on my car! Paul
As you are in Italy, take two of them here: they are available, 500 euro each more or less. I bought mine 345/35-15 Pzero in 2010, 2009 production. Evey one-two years Pirelli remakes them. Ask me if you need some help ciao
I'm back in the USA now, but, I agree with you, recently-dated PZeros are not that difficult to find.
Thanks for all the replies. I believe I have a lead on the Yokos...but does anyone have a set of rear 345 Pirellis for sale as well? I'm interested in both the Pirelli and the Yokos at this point. Thank you, LS
Thanks, vaholtorf was the Yoko lead I mentioned. I'll take a set of Pirellis also if anyone has them... LS
Excellent idea. I think you came to the right place to make inquiries. This Ad comes to mind... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Maybe we should send this photo, 20x larger, to Pirelli.......just to remind THEM which car made THEM. I just want a short run of 205's.........did I menetion that in the past
