What is the entry point for buying a Lamborghini? I hear enough about Ferrari and Maserati models as near their low point (lots of opinions there!!!), and I thought I'd ask. Any models/years at the low of the depreciation curve? Thoughts on the lowest-price models?

To get a sense of prices, why not do some window shopping on the internet, e.g., Autotrader, Hemmings, eBay Motors, etc.?

Now don't mislead the poor guy, that sad thing stopped being a Lamborghini a very long time ago. ;) If he really wants an actual Lamborghini that one is likely to be the most expensive way to get an Espada.

I should think a nice clean Gallardo is the most economical way to get a good example you can drive nicely WO having to go through the trials and tribulations often seen with vintage examples. But some of the vintage models are to die for ...

Seems Ferrari has a lower entry point...308, etc...

Ahh that's not a V12 though. Lamborghini did have the Urraco. Were it I though I'd go with a 308 or 328. These vintage Lamborghinis are much harder when it comes to finding parts and knowledge.

Thanks for the input. Sort of dipping a toe in the water when it comes to planning for something Lamborghini.

And I'll change the question to this for those reading/responding--what was your first Lamborghini? Photos please.

Ferrari is cheaper to get into. The lowest entry point model for Lambo is Gallardo and those start in the $80's.

    Early Murci's are a deal.

I'd say try to catch a V12 at the bottom of the depreciation curve. If you're an entry level buyer chances are you're not gonna be a multi-lambo owner, you'll have one Lambo. So make it count. Diablo or Murci. V8 Lambos are for guys who are gonna buy a bunch of them, and they want to pick up the oddball stuff like Urraco, Espada, etc....stuff that the average person would see and not even realize it's a Lambo.
